Introduction
Rico-Jump offers the possibility to create and upload maps to the Steam Workshop and therefor sharing them with the Rico-Jump community.

In this guide, I will explain how to save, upload and share your map on the workshop.
Saving your map and uploading it to the workshop
When you finished creating your map (and also as often as possible during the creation phase) you should save your map by pressing the "Save"-button and entering a name for your map on the following prompt.

Afterwards you can press the green "Publish"-button. There you need to take a screenshot, which will be used as a preview image on the Workshop for your map. Further, you can add a description of your choice, which will also be visible on the Workshop page.

When everything is set, press the "Publish New"-button at the bottom, which will start the upload process. This can take a few seconds or up to minutes, depending on your map size and upload speed.

Sharing the map
When the upload process finished, you will be presented with the following Steam overlay.

The first thing you should do is to subscribe to your own map. This will immediately download it into your local Workshop-folder making it possible for you to play the map in the Rico-Jump mode in multiplayer matches.

Second, you should change the visibility of your map by hitting the "Change Visibility"-button in the lower right hand corner in the overlay and setting it to public.

That's it. If you now chose "Start Sever" from the Main Menu you will be able to select your new map, which connecting players will automatically download.

The death-trigger bug is fixed, as well as the looking-direction after respawning, which you mentioned in the bug-reports section. :)

cool stuff! I already figured you might be working on a set-able spawn point.

Also with death-trigger I'm talking about the one if you fall off the map.
See in the builder you can go much much lower without triggering it, whilst in a "normal game" it's way further above that. You basically can't go alot below the blue spawn platform.

Looking forward what the future map builder will hold. It's already very simple to understand and use in its current form.

Custom spawnpoints are already on my To-Do list and will be added in the near future. The problem with the different deathtrigger is new to me. I have to investigate that!

In general: I am currently in the progress to improve the MapBuilder in general. The first features are already in (Redo/Undo/Multiselection/Duplication), but new ones will be added soon, improving the map building experience (hopefully). :)

Thanks for the help. Option 1 seemed to have worked.

Now some other weird things are happening.
Like the spawnpoint is different than it was in the mapbuilder.(Maybe add a preset for custom spawn points)
Also the world deathtrigger seems to be a bit higher, because you can't jump down onto the ramp as it worked in the builder.

Okay, in that case there are two things you could do.

Option 1: Workaround
Go into the folder C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\RicoJump\<mapname> where <username> is the username of your pc and <mapname> ist the name of the map in RicoJump that you are trying to save. There, add an image manually and call it "PreviewImage.png". Make sure it is a PNG. You can either create the screenshot in-game or take any png you want. After restarting the game and loading your map, a screenshot should be added already.

Option 2: Fixing it
Join the Rico-Jump Discord Channel (https://discord.gg/HsahypS7yQ) and hit me up there on the weekend. Then I can see the error for myself and figure out how to fix this bug. :)

Greetings

So I did everything that your guide said.
Save map. Click on Publish, then click on take screenshot.(The window for the screenshot is already blank white)
The application seems to be loading something for a second but nothing happens, no matter how often I click on take screenshot.

Hey, .DeaTh, I tried to reproduce your bug, but for me the screenshot can be taken all the time. Could you describe in detail, what you are doing?
.DeaTh 20 Apr, 2021 @ 1:33pm
Somehow it won't let me take a screenshot. Pressing the button does nothing
