A small bit of timing and the Striker (shotgun), plus another weapon in your inventory.

What to do

So after you purchased the Striker, make sure you have another weapon in your inventory. Take the Striker out and go into the firing stance (hold right click) and press Tab to open your inventory BEFORE the laser sight comes up.

(The easiest way to do this is to right click and press Tab right after. Basically at the same time)

Once you've gone into your inventory, select another weapon and equip it, then exit your inventory. You will now be sped up.

This can be useful for knifing and reloading. You won't need to buy the speed upgrades, it also increase the speed your scope comes up on rifles, and climbing is much faster.

(You must do this every time you start the game again if you want the speed. The game returns to normal speed after you close the game, and when going through loading doors)

Yes, it's the Ditman Glitch, at the time of writing this, I had forgotten the name. And cutscenes do require you to redo the glitch after they are over. However, I do not recall it resetting when kicking doors, taking damage. It may reset after taking another shotgun, I'm unsure of that one :)

it will cancle the speed if you do what i said after "certain ones"

the glitch is called ditman "Ditman Glitch" it speeds up Leon's animations and doing certain ones like cutscenes and opening doors taking damage or even pulling another shotgun.

it's on every version of resident evil 4/biohazard 4

Seems That opening Doors and some ingame scenes reset the speed back to normal.
Ech No big deal, the glitch is easy to do anyways.

No problem :). You probably figured it out but if you move the crates you can get behind the merchant at the top :)

It's not hidden. This merchant is located at the lake, where the water boss is :P. After you beat him you need to leave the shack you are in, get on the boat to the left, then just go STRAIGHT across from there and you will see a cave. :)

Crafty, in the youtube video you posted in the comments, leon is at a merchant I've never seen before. Is this a hidden merchant location? Or is it part of the glitch?

It does. Why else would they just be lying around in space behind a wall and that's all that's their? I'm sure they would have deleted it otherwise ;)
