Helicopter Carriers

Beskrivning
The helicopter carrier is a naval unit that is cheaper than an aircraft carrier and intended for naval force projection and sea control. It is highly vulnerable to air attack (either shore-based or from an aircraft carrier) and requires an escort. It has zero nuclear capabilities and is only useful in conventional warfare.

This mod adds a Helicopter Carrier with Maritime Helicopters, Attack Helicopters, and (with appropriate tech) VTOL Attack Aircraft. The mod also adds a dedicated anti-ship missile (similar to an SSM, but launched from aircraft).

Maritime Helicopters primarily focus on Anti-Submarine Warfare, Attack Helicopters primarily focus on Land Strike missions, while VTOL Attack Aircraft can be used in a variety of roles. The Helicopter Carrier will also utilise AEW&C (AWACS).

It works with most other mods and will now be used by the AI where Diverse AI (Vanilla or Parabellum editions) is used!

It is known to not be compatible with Dawn At Midnight, as Dawn At Midnight removes some vanilla technologies this mod uses.

ASW = Anti-Submarine Warfare (Air-To-Subsurface)
ASuW = Anti-Surface Warfare (Air-To-Ship)
CAP = Combat Air Patrol (Air-To-Air)
AShM = Anti-Ship Missile

Known issues: There are no rotor animations.

I'm on Christmas hols so it's not really a priority... you can see them in game with the mod if it really matters? The VTOL is just the existing in-game Harrier model.

Nope! Should work fine with most mods that aren't total conversion. It should also work with Diverse AI (either vanilla or Parabellum) now. It doesn't work with Dawn at Midnight for now tho, since that's a total conversion and deletes some techs this mod relies on.

Holy cow Rushyo, this seems like a pretty cool concept! Do you have some more pics of the various helos and VTOL aircraft? Also, I am guessing that this would cause a conflict with TAR5US's Naval Overhaul mod? Thanks and great work and idea!
