Helicopter Carriers

The helicopter carrier is a naval unit that is cheaper than an aircraft carrier and intended for naval force projection and sea control. It is highly vulnerable to air attack (either shore-based or from an aircraft carrier) and requires an escort. It has zero nuclear capabilities and is only useful in conventional warfare.

This mod adds a Helicopter Carrier with Maritime Helicopters, Attack Helicopters, and (with appropriate tech) VTOL Attack Aircraft. The mod also adds a dedicated anti-ship missile (similar to an SSM, but launched from aircraft).

Maritime Helicopters primarily focus on Anti-Submarine Warfare, Attack Helicopters primarily focus on Land Strike missions, while VTOL Attack Aircraft can be used in a variety of roles. The Helicopter Carrier will also utilise AEW&C (AWACS).

It works with most other mods and will now be used by the AI where Diverse AI (Vanilla or Parabellum editions) is used!

It is known to not be compatible with Dawn At Midnight, as Dawn At Midnight removes some vanilla technologies this mod uses.

ASW = Anti-Submarine Warfare (Air-To-Subsurface)
ASuW = Anti-Surface Warfare (Air-To-Ship)
CAP = Combat Air Patrol (Air-To-Air)
AShM = Anti-Ship Missile

Known issues: There are no rotor animations.
