Fixed in version 1.05
You don't need to do this anymore

CDPR fixed this in version 1.05
Hex Editing (Old method)
There is a new method further down.

Go to your Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder then go to bin\x64

Make a backup of Cyberpunk2077.exe

Open Cyberpunk2077.exe with HxD[mh-nexus.de]

In HxD, press Ctrl+R and go to Hex-values tab.

Search for: 75 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08

And replace it with: 74 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08

And replace it with: EB 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08 (New hex value, thanks to Senor Beef for letting me know.)

Click Replace All and press Ctrl+S to save the file.

Using Plugin (New method)
User yamashi made a plugin over at GitHub called Cyber Engine Tweaks[github.com]

I haven't tested it myself yet. I tested this method and it seems to work fine. It even fixes more issues. You can download it here[github.com].

Don't forget to read the wiki[wiki.cybermods.net].

[if you used the first method, you have to restore the original unmodified EXE file before using this method.]
Result
Here's the before and after results on my PC: [Tested on version 1.04]

Note: You may gain/lose performance based on your PC specs.

Don't forget to comment your results.

Please use the direct Yamashi github link and not some knock off re-up to the nexus.

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
GPU: RTX 2060
16GB Ram

I used the 1.04 update hex method (You're guide's hex replacement is out of date, might want to update it)
My CPU usage went from average 45% 8 physical cores to average 75%-79% all 16 cores.
Performance is definitely smoother, but fps still drops a bit in heavy areas even on low with 50% resolution (example: outside the apartment building)

How does it work?

so far seems to work, went from 50fps in crowded areas to 80 on a ryzen 5 3600

Sweet... this allows me to play at more stable frames with RTX on. I have a Ryzen 5 2600x and a RTX 2070 Super. Gained abou 5-10 fps with this fix, which I know doesn't sound like much but when it's in the 40-60 range, every boost helps.
