Introduction
The Bulwark protects the Colonial backline. The Colonials take advantage of the wall and attempt to seal all breach points, preventing partisans from crossing the backline. This is a similar tactic Wardens use, but with mountainous chokepoints instead of a wall.
Key
Breaching Points (Bulwark)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Green: Usually undefended for a good majority of the war.
Yellow: Usually sealed eventually during the war.
Red: Usually always sealed for the war. Often is sealed sooner than later within the war (Varies).

Remember this varies every war. Sometimes veterans simply do or don't build up bulwark.

Bunker Base
-------------------------------------------------------------------
White Letter: Bunker Base recommended / required to be built here.
Black Letter: Natural AI range within town hall / relic base. Bunker base isn't necessarily needed.

Westgate
Westgate

Starting at the west side, the Bulwark begins at Westgate keep.
Westgate has two breaches in Bulwark.

Breach A is usually seen defended by foxholes and gates.
Breach B is usually defended by a bunker base starting early -> mid game.

Unfortunately for the Colonials Bulwark does not protect the majority of Westgate.
The Heartlands
The Heartlands

The Heartlands as of update 41 is quite reliable. The Bulwark covers The great march highway all the way up to Umbral Wildwood for safe travels. In addition, the Bulwark was moved more up north so the Colonials could get more breathing room in their backline region. And as always the Bulwark protects the blemish.

Breach A: Usually defended by a bunker base starting early -> mid war.
Breach B: Usually defended by foxholes.
Breach C: Usually defended by garrison houses alone. Sometimes also foxholes.
Breach D: Usually defended by garrison houses alone. Sometimes also foxholes.
Breach E: Usually defended by garrison houses alone. Sometimes also foxholes.
Breach F: Usually defended by garrison houses alone. Sometimes also foxholes.
Umbral Wildwood
Umbral WIldwood

This region is by far one of the easiest to breach thanks to Amethyst. Most veteran partisans use this route because it's usually undefended.

Take note of the following...

If point B has a bunker base defending the bridge at that zone (White line) this denies advancements to bulwark.
If defenses are built in front of Clotho's Refuge point (White line) C, D. E, F, G don't need to be sealed.
Point H is the most popular partisan route taken.

Breach A: Usually defended by a bunker base. If not, the town will deny advancement.
Breach B: Usually defended by a bunker base. If not, the town will deny advancement.
Breach C, D, E, F, G: If the bridges are defended by either a bunker base or foxholes advancements to bulwark are completely denied.
Breach H: Usually an easy breach point. Due to the recent changes of Umbral Wildwood the Colonials might actually build this breaching point up with foxholes.
Drowned Vale
Drowned Vale

Another popular region partisans like to breach. The Bulwark in the swamp is usually undefended left of Bootnap and in between The Wash and Eastmarch.

Breach A: Is usually defended by gates and foxholes. Sometimes a bunker base.
Breach B: Is sometimes defended by foxholes. Sometimes Veterans will seal this with a bunker base.
Breach C: Usually undefended. Sometimes a bunker base is built here by veterans.
Breach D: Usually defended by garrison houses and foxholes.
Alloid's Bight
Alloid's Bight

Alloid's Bight only has two breaching points, and it's impossible to pass through due to garrison houses and the amount of defenses that are typically there.

Breaches are usually defended by foxholes and garrison houses.
Conclusion
Colonials: Take advantage of Bulwark, seal up those breaches to avoid backline partisans.

Wardens: Typically you'll want to breach at Umbral Wildwood or Drowned Vale, especially mid-late game vs other breaching points.
