I actually had elected to keep him around, but then when the cabinet became open to me I realized that almost everyone was put in the wrong jobs as if the programmers were deliberately trying to put the worst cabinet in place.
So I proceeded to move people around so that their stats best fit the positions. Before doing that my overall stats were -2 to +6 for the cabinet. After changing everyone around my _lowest_ stat was two points higher than the old maximum reaching to +8 and my highest was now at +13. Which was a 10 point turnaround gain on minimum and 7 point gain on maximum.
But sadly it also counted as a complete fire to him and it gained me the achievement. Oh well.
