Introduction

This is a guide for getting all of the achievements in the game Heavy Rain. I have also made a video guide which you can find below to go along with this and you can find my written guide on my website here[www.pandallax.com].

We'll be going through the entire game and how you need to go through it in order to efficiently get all of the achievements while replaying the least amount of parts.

One thing to keep in mind as we go through this is that achievements will only pop up once you get to a loading screen to switch characters. There are also some achievements such as "Nerd" and "Perfect Crime" which require multiple parts to be done in order to get the achievement in the end. I have the parts where these are covered labeled in the chapters on the right side of the guide.

This achievement is for supporting Interactive Drama. Basically this achievement you'll get just for starting the game, but as the first loading screen is after the chapter Father and Son you'll get the achievement once you get to the loading screen past that chapter.

Chapter - Prologue

For this achievement you'll need to complete the drawing, set the table, and play with the kids. Once you get up and get ready you'll need to go downstairs to your drawing board and go through the quick time events until you complete the drawing. Then once your wife gets home she'll ask you to help with groceries and set the table. You can then go outside to play with the kids, and you'll need to do the initial parts with each kid as long as you can until the game forces you to stop. Then you'll lift them up and win a sword fight with Jason.

Chapter - Father and Son

For this achievement you'll need to follow the to do list on the board in the kitchen and send him to bed in a good mood. You don't have to be exact on the timings, but just make sure you stick somewhat close to it.

4:30 - Give Shaun a snack.
6:00 - Help Shaun do his homework.
7:00 - Make Shaun dinner.
8:00 - Tell Shaun to go to bed and make sure you bring his teddy bear up to him.

Chapter - Sleazy Place

For this achievement you'll need to get Lauren to talk about her son. In order to do this you'll need to choose the dialogue options Compassionate ► Convince ► Trick.

Chapter - Sleazy Place

For this achievement you'll need to beat Troy. Once you leave Lauren's apartment a guy named Troy will come up. He's a douche so you'll go back in there and beat him up. As long as you get most of the QTE's correct you'll beat him and get the achievement.

FBI Investigator (Nerd Part 1)

Chapter - Crime Scene

For this achievement you'll need to find all of the clues related to the Origami Killer in the chapter. The list of all of these are below with screenshots.

Finding all of these clues will also take care of the first part of the Nerd Achievement.

Inside the tent: The boy's face, the orchid on his chest, the origami figure in his hand, his hand the second time, and the cut on his leg.

The pollen trail near the tent.

The blood by the train tracks.

The footprints by the train tracks.

The blood on the fence.

The footprints up the hill.

The tire tracks up the hill.

Chapter - The Park

This achievement is for playing two games with Shaun and then buying him candy. For this one I played with the boomerang and the seesaw before buying the candy.

Chapter - Got To Remember!

For this achievement you'll need to correctly recall the facts about Shaun's disappearance. The choices are that the time was 4:15 ► his jacket was beige ► and his pants were green.

Chapter - Hassan's Shop

This achievement is for persuading the robber to leave. You'll need to walk up to make the robber see you and then go through the following conversation options.

Calm ► Name ► Reason ► Help ► Killer? ► Drop Weapon

Once you receive this achievement you'll need to reload the chapter and choose to save.

(Perfect Crime Part 1)

Chapter - Hassan's Shop

For the first part of Perfect Crime you'll need to let Hassan die. When the robber comes in just stand in the back and wait until he shoots Hassan and runs.

Chapter - Paparazzi

For this achievement you'll need to leave home without the paparazzi spotting you. To do this you'll need to go out the back door, over the fence, and through the alley to your car.

Agoraphobia

Chapter - Lexington Station

For this achievement you'll need to knock down at least 50 people. When time stops, and you have to chase Jason, be sure to go through the densest crowds you can so that you'll be able to reach 50 before the end of that scene.

Lucky Locker

Chapter - Lexington Station

For this achievement you'll need to find the correct locker on the first try. Once you get to the area with all of the lockers just go straight to row 18 locker number 3 and open it. Do not open any other ones as that will fail this achievement.

Blunder

Chapter - Nathaniel

For this achievement you'll need to shoot Nathaniel. When given the option during the confrontation, just shoot Nathaniel. It doesn't matter if you continue the game with this choice or the choice to not shoot him. So after you do the first one, reload and choose to save so you can do the other.

Self Control

Chapter - Nathaniel

For this achievement you'll need to NOT shoot Nathaniel. When given the option during the confrontation, just don't press the button to shoot him. It doesn't matter if you continue the game with this choice or the choice to not shoot him. So after you do the first one, reload and choose to save so you can do the other.

Baby Master

Baby Master

Chapter - Suicide Baby

For this achievement you'll need to make no mistakes when taking care of the baby. For this you'll need to successfully get through the diaper change, warming up her bottle, feeding her, and finally putting her to sleep without messing up any quick time events.

Good Driver (Trial Master Part 1)

Chapter - The Bear

For this achievement you'll need to complete the bear trial successfully. Basically just get through the driving trial without completely failing and you'll get this achievement.

For this achievement you'll need to take the best route on the highway. I show all of this in my video guide here.

Chapter - Covered Market

For this achievement you'll need to beat Korda in the cold storage. This one is pretty self explanatory so just make sure you successfully get through all of the quick time events to win.

Chapter - Kramer's Party

For this achievement you'll need to defeat Gordi's bodygaurds. Same thing as the last one, just get through all of the quick time events successfully to win the fight.

Chapter - The Butterfly

For this achievement you'll need to give up on or fail the butterfly trial. Just go to the left of the electric maze and go through the coward door.

Electrified (Trial Master Part 2)

Chapter - The Butterfly

For this achievement you'll need to complete the Butterfly Trial successfully. You'll need to start at the second to last gap on the right where there isn't as much electricity. Then you'll go straight up ► to the left ► up again ► and up one more time.

Good Cop

Chapter - Shrink and Punches

For this achievement you'll need to stop Blake from hitting Dupre. Once given the option just choose to interrupt their fight. It does not matter if you stop it or let it happen ending wise, so choose one route, get the achievement, and reload to get the other one.

Bad Cop

Chapter - Shrink and Punches

For this achievement you'll need to allow Blake to keep hitting Dupre. Basically just stand there and do nothing while he beats up Dupre. It does not matter if you stop it or let it happen ending wise, so choose one route, get the achievement, and reload to get the other one.

Butcher (Trail Master Part 3)

Chapter - The Lizard

For this achievement you'll need to complete the lizard trial by cutting your finger using the saw or scissors and NOT cauterizing or disinfecting it.

Chapter - The Lizard

For this achievement you'll need to cut off you finger using the axe, the knife, or the pliers and then disinfect or cauterize it.

Fugitive

Chapter - Fugitive

For this achievement you'll need to escape Blake in the subway station. Just move between the cars, go down into the subway, and do the same down there until you're able to go across the tracks and jump into a subway car.

Chapter - Jayden Blues

For this achievement you'll need to play the piano without hitting a wrong note. Just be sure to get all of the quick time events correct and you'll be good.

Detox

Chapter - Jayden Blues

For this achievement you'll need to resist taking triptocaine. This will only be available if Ethan escaped Blake in the Fugitive chapter.

After you get these two achievements reload back to the Fugitive chapter and choose to save progress.

Hands Up!

Hands Up!

Chapter - Fugitive

For this achievement you'll need to get arrested by Blake. Basically just get out of the window and then stand there waiting for them to catch you instead of running.

Wise Guy

Wise Guy

Chapter - Under Arrest

For this achievement you'll need to switch off the camera in the surveillance room before saving Ethan. Just go into the next room over, turn off the camera, grab the jacket, and then save Ethan.

(Perfect Crime Part 2)

Chapter - Manfred

For the second part of the Perfect Crime achievement you'll need to completely clean your fingerprints from Manfred's shop. If you don't touch anything that's optional and you go as quickly as possible you'll only have the minimum amount of things to clean. This list is below.

The white phone in the back.

The black phone.

The two shot glasses.

The bottle.

The magnifying glass.

The ballerina on the glass case.

The front door.

Chapter - The Shark

For this achievement you'll need to NOT kill the Drug Dealer. Once you get to the end of the chapter and have the gun pointed at his head just choose not to shoot him.

Then once you get the achievement for this you'll need to reload the chapter and choose to save.

I'm a killer. (Trial Master Part 4)

I'm a killer.

Chapter - The Shark

For this achievement you'll need to kill the Drug Dealer. Once you get to the end of the chapter and have the gun pointed at his head just choose to pull the trigger.

Smart Girl

Chapter - The Doc

For this achievement you'll need to be sure not to drink the Doc's beverage. He'll offer you a drink multiple times, but just always say no to it.

Queen of Ropes

Chapter - The Doc

For this achievement you'll need to escape before the Doc returns. As soon as he leaves to go answer the door, you'll need to untie your leg and get through the quick time events before he gets back. Then fight him and win.

Four Heroes

This will also take care of the first part of the Four Heroes achievement for having four characters alive when you complete the story.

(Nerd Part 2)

Chapter - Mad Jack

For the second part of the Nerd achievement you'll need to find all of the clues in the chapter Mad Jack. All of the clues are listed below.

Three sets of blood trails leading to the acid bath.

The Mugs in Mad Jack's office.

Size 10 footprints.

The tire tracks that match the Origami Killer's.

A pollen trail in the back of the shop.

Spilled blue paint.

The acid bath itself.

Goodbye Mad Jack

Chapter - Mad Jack

For this achievement you'll need to survive the fights against Mad Jack. You'll need to successfully get through most of the quick time events, select the "Impress" dialogue option, and do not take triptocaine when given the choice.

This will also take care of the second part needed for the Four Heroes achievement.

The Chef

Chapter - Eureka

For this achievement you'll need to prepare a good omelette on time. When Lauren goes to take a shower you'll need to go make the omelette without making any mistakes or stopping early.

I'm not scared

Chapter - Twins

For this achievement you'll need to follow your brother without making any mistakes. This is a pretty long one so you may not get it on the first try. Go ahead and fully play through it so you'll see all of the areas and then go back through to successfully complete all of quick time events.

Pride Saved

Chapter - Sexy Girl

For this achievement you'll need to only take off one item of clothing during the strip-tease. So when you're stripping for Paco only unbutton your shirt before reaching for the lamp and hitting Paco.

(Nerd Part 3)

Chapter - Fish Tank

For the third part of the Nerd achievement you'll need to find all of the clues in the chapter. All of the clues here are listed below. In order to do this you'll need to survive the fight with the Origami killer and rip his pocket so that his gas receipts fall to the floor. This will also take care of the third part of preparing for the Four Heroes achievement.

The scattered papers behind the table.

The bullet shells near the door.

The gun in the corner.

Paco's Body.

The Orchid pollen near the desk.

The gun in the center of the room.

The lamp that Madison used previously.

Chapter - On the Loose

For this achievement you'll need to forgive Madison. Kiss Madison when given the option, and then choose to forgive her when you find out that she's a journalist.

Escape Master

Chapter - On the Loose

For this achievement you'll need to escape the police at the motel. When you switch to Madison and see the police raid coming, you'll need to call room 207 to warn Ethan. Then you'll switch back to Ethan and climb to the roof to escape the raid.

(Perfect Crime Part 3)

Chapter - Trapped

For the fourth part of the Perfect Crime achievement you'll have to allow Lauren to die in the car. When escaping the car you'll need to free yourself, and then bust out the window to escape without interacting with Lauren in any way.

Chapter - Face to Face

For this achievement you'll need to not get shot in Kramer's Villa. Basically just don't miss any of the quick time events as you're going through the villa and you'll get the achievement.

(Perfect Crime Part 4)

Chapter - Face to Face

For the fourth part of the Perfect Crime achievement you'll need to allow Kramer to die. When he starts having a heart attack and asks you to get his medicine for him, you'll need to go straight to the door and walk away.

Sacrifice (Trial Master Final Part)

Chapter - The Rat

For this achievement you'll need to drink the poison. Very self explanatory.

It will also take care of the final part of the Trial Master achievement.

Once you get these two you'll need to reload the chapter and choose to save.

Clever Dad

Chapter - The Rat

For this achievement you'll need to figure out where Shaun is being held. You'll need to choose not to drink the poison and then be sure to choose 852 Theodore Roosevelt Road for the GPS. This achievement will unlock as we get into the last chapter later on.

(Nerd Final Part)

Chapter - Solving the Puzzle

For the final part of the Nerd achievement you'll need to go through all of the clues to determine who the killer is. The list of the clues you have to go through are below. You will also need to make sure NOT to accuse Blake as he is not the killer. This is required for the fourth part of the Four Heroes achievement.

Analyze the fish tank video, and then analyze the killer's watch on that.

Geoanalyze the gas receipts.

For the fifth part of the Perfect Crime achievement you'll need to let Madison die. Once you escape the room and are going through the fire just jump out of the window.

Chapter - The Old Warehouse

For this achievement you'll need to save the Origami Killer before he falls. While fighting Scott as Norman you'll eventually have him hanging onto the conveyor belt. Choose to save him, and then do not do any quick time events so that Scott will kill him.

This is also the final part needed for the Perfect Crime achievement. As long as you cleaned Manfred's shop of evidence, let Hassan die, Lauren die, Kramer die, killed Madison, and killed Norman.

For this achievement you'll need to save Shaun. Very self explanatory here as well.

For this achievement you'll need to finish the game Heavy Rain.

Once you get to the part where it's playing through the different endings you'll need to let all of them play through until the end. You can only exit to the menu once you get to the part where it rolls the credits. This will make sure the endings actually unlock as that is needed for the All Endings achievement.

For this achievement you'll need to enter in the correct password on the laptop (Max) and survive the explosion by hiding in the fridge.

For this sixth part of the Four Heroes achievement you'll need to have Madison escape the police to warn Ethan, Norman will need to kill Scott, and Ethan will need to save Shaun.

For this achievement you'll need to reach then end with all characters and then fail. So basically you'll need to do nothing as Norman so he'll die, do nothing as Madison so she'll be arrested, and then Ethan will be shot by the police since he wasn't warned.

On this chapter choose not to drink the poison and choose either the "Lane" or "Park" address, but DO NOT pick the "Road" option.

Immediately close ARI and give up.

Chapter - Killer's Place

Let Madison die by jumping out of the window.

You'll need get the password wrong enough times to lock you out of the computer and then successfully escape by hiding in the fridge. So Madison will escape, but without the address to find Shaun.

This achievement is for not forgiving Madison. You'll need to kiss her early on in the chapter, and then choose not to forgive her when you find out that she's a journalist.

Then let the police arrest Ethan.

For this achievement you'll need to save Lauren when underwater. Once you untie yourself you'll need to interact with her before breaking the window to escape.

Kind Hearted (All Endings Part 6)

For this achievement you'll need to give Kramer his medicine. Once Kramer has his heart attack you'll need to go over to the drawer to grab the pills and give them to him.

Chapter - Solving the Puzzle

Immediately give up and close out of ARI.

Chapter - Killer's Place

You'll need to escape with Madison, but without the correct address again.

Be sure to allow all of the endings from this to play until you get to the credits sequence. That will then unlock the ending below.

You'll need to find the correct address by entering in the "Max" password and escape as Madison.

On this chapter you'll need to save Shaun as Madison and survive the fight with Scott.

Be sure to allow all of the endings from this to play until you get to the credits sequence. That will then unlock the ending below and will finish up the All Endings achievement.

Thanks a lot for your guide, but you really have to update the "All Endings" Part for "Helpless" and "Innocent". For both of them Ethan has to be imprisoned at the end and you only manage to do this if he is arrested twice: in chapter "fugitive" and in the chapter "on the loose" This is not mentioned in your guide and it could have saved me a lot of gameplay time it i knew that before.

For some reason, even after saving the game when Ethan goes to the restaurant, he still shows up at the warehouse at the end. Your video sucks and doesn't help explain anything beyond the guide, plus your "just follow my actions" during the driving scene was waaaay too hard to follow. I used another guide on steam where the author had the decency to write out the best route.

The "Got to Remember" achievement's chapter should be the "Welcome Norman!" chapter

If anyone has problem with "Happy birthday" achievement. U'll get it after "Father and Son" episode. Just don't fail any QTE moments towards that.

Can you be a bit more descriptive, please? There is no "interrupt" option and the answers mean you take Blake's side with Norman.

I got "VIP" and "Agoraphobia" after reloading the Paparazzi scene, maybe that might help if some achievement trigger isn't working for you.
