Why Midair Has No Tangible Playerbase
By ✟Alistair✟ and 2 collaborators
This game has existed within the realm of Steam for four years. Memories have been had, many have acquired great renown from this piece of entertainment, however, it appears that the support has been dwindling. When entering the game, the servers are barren and desolate, with the only form of life being that of Dalmatians existing. True, you can argue that old veterans host events to recolonise these foreign lands, but this is only temporary and never causes a permanent occupation of servers to emerge. This raises a question on why the game is so devoid of any form of life. After extensive analysis and scrutiny I have delved into the lore of the game, reviewed documents guarded by the veterans jealousy and have uncovered a conspiracy that will shake the very foundations of Mid Air.

The Origin
I recall the days of glory within Midair. The lands were filled with vivacious youth, prancing around the plains, fighting each other to their hearts content. In those days, they had spirit and energy. However, then these youth grew old, becoming malformed and virulent, likely due to the toxins in the games water. What was once a fluctuating and flourishing paradise, transformed into a barren wasteland, deprived of any form of sophistication and instead plagued by barbarism. The playerbase, after this riveting change has never known true solace, with only the veterans of old clinging to the outer rims of the games declining state.

The Players
The players nowadays, after the collapse of the games hierarchal society are almost non existent. What remains of humans civilisations in Midair, are nomadic tribes of human's who attempt to masquerade as krakens, to fit in with the hostile environment of Midair. These tribes sporadically attempt to colonise previously human owned servers in a nostalgic attempt to restore their former glory. These vain attempts at colonisation never have a tangible, permanent effect and merely delay the inevitable day when Midair's realm is completely extinct of all humanity. Replacing the humans who gradually flee in greater numbers, migrating to more comforting areas are families of Dalmatians, who have erected various towers and citadels, dedicated to their Dalmatian God's.

The Conspiracy
While ransacking abandoned warehouses, of old begotten players and piecing together the peculiar clues, something of great significance was unravelled. Jealously guarded documents depicted how Midair's deities, often regarded as the developers concocted a plot, to decimate the original residents and replace them with robotic Asian cyborgs, who would be designed with a lack of autonomy and an infatuation with servitude. Other documents, in the form of diaries were discovered, illustrating the veteran players deeply illicit, sexual cravings for sheep, with in depth scrawlings and descriptions being discovered, representing the earnest and romantic interest existing within the veteran playerbase. Just to reiterate, the veterans, as described by their diary entries did not intend for this relationship to be platonic, but instead something further.

Animosity
Recently, a growing secessionist movement, dedicated to the collapse of Midair, have unified and dedicated their efforts to tarnishing the reputation of the Midair realm. They do so by waging a personal war upon the veterans of old, ambushing trade routes to prevent fresh supplies from steaming in and blockading the gates to ensure that reinforcements are hindered. It is difficult to discern the movie for this intense dislike, however, it can be wagered that this group are former veterans who have become disillusioned by their lost glory and as such have made it their personal mission to reap havoc upon their once beloved lands. Due to the current state of Midair, it appears that this group has been largely successful.

Conclusion
As a final note, I believe it is wise to state that the server has succumbed to a multitude of factors, treachery, internal corruption and a warmongering people that alienate potential reinforcements all lead to Midair's inevitable collapse. As a result I wish to urge all to remain far and distant from this games shores, for none are aware of what it's land, nor it's nomadic, cunning inhabitants hold.

Will any be alive when I arrive to Midair 2, or will I instead be greeted by the skeletal remains of foolhardy and optimistic colonists?
