You need to know what ship parameters are most importent for you. So here is few quick things

in PVE and/or PVP you need ship that can take some beating, have room for guns and most importantly have small hitbox since from what i read the biger the ship the harder it is to dodge damage which makes you take alot of dps

In trading its very importent to have big cargohold however if you are spending time in red zones then you need something fast and that culd potentialy outrun the pirate-players not only npc that while anoying cannot do much.

Mining and scavenging also require big cargohold however if in red sector you need to be fast 2 or atleast have some way of defending.

While its rare to find pirate that is player it heapens and probably chance will increase with new palyers coming and old ones geting bored

Only some parametrs will be shown (since there is quite alot of them, the one that i personaly decided that are most importent), also cost is wihout taxes so price will be higher abaut 10% when bought, things i have wrote down can change and most likly will change with updates, thats the nature of early acess.

Any ship that have more thenn 100 speed can be also used as cargo runner tho transport small amounts of expensive cargo fast thro red systems. Those fast ships will be most likly used as pirates soo lookout for them.
