sure man. melodyne is great but i purchased mine seperate from sonar. if you do have a copy of melodyne on your computer that didn't come with sonar, you can still integrate it. it is an amazing program but what i would say is buy the cheapest one and use your money to buy a physical midi keyboard. it allows midi a lot easier and one I reccomend is the Akai MPK Mini. Using a controller is more valuable than a step up of software. There are currently two versions of the MPK mini, the MKI and MKII edition. MKI should be cheaper as the MKII is new. dude, thanks. im so sold on this program. i just dont know whether to save up for the studio version or just get the basic one. truth be sold the main reason i want the studio one is because of melodyne.. and the producer one omg.. addictive drums... best drum software ever.. but yeah i might just get the basic one. thanks for the help by the way! much appreciated

TheRealWindows98, the guitar lick at the end is the only real instrument. Bass, organ and drums were all midi (with heavy plugins). I do you plugins that did not come with Sonar. My hard drive crashed a while ago and I lost the project file, that being said, I can't tell you exactly what plugins but I get 99% of my plugins from PluginBoutique which has a plethora of free plugins.
