Welcome to the world of grid 2. You think this is a serious racing game? M*ron. This is Wreckfest for people with a tight budget and a sh*tty old computer. It’s basically the same game, but with other cars and a less detailed damage model.

Follow the rules below while playing online in grid 2.

How to play the game

You start a race. You have probably noticed that you’re most likely to start in the middle of the grid. So, there are a lot of players in front and behind you. Here is your fist chance to score. If your car accelerates slower than others try to block as many drivers as you can that are behind you and much faster than your car. However if your car is faster than others use this advantage to ram and take out players in front.
You totally f*ucked up in the first corner and missed the braking point. So you run off the track. That’s not a problem at all. But don’t you dare lift of the gas at this point! The most important thing here is to carry all the speed you have and enter the racetrack as perpendicular as possible! If you are lucky, you take out some racers who just try to nail the racing line and have a normal race. This works at best if you are not the only one who ran off the track. In the best case, more than 4 Cars enter the track perpendicular at the same time and kill all remaining survivors.
Everybody crashes. You spun your car and cannot get back on the track quickly? Lucky for you everybody has a reset button which he can use for 5 times. Use it immediately after a crash to catch the players you want to hit next!
But do you know what's even more effective than resetting your car? Imagine you are not even on a wide open track but instead in one of these annoying mountain races with tight roads, walls, trees or even deep slopes on one side. You don't even know the track but you still want to overtake everybody in the first corners. So back to the question what's now the most clever thing to do after you crash immediately? Right, just don't reset your car. Nothing is more effective in ruining other players race than leaving your car in the middle of the road. This creates a huge pile of crashed cars and nobody will have a chance to avoid this chaos.

Of course, this will also work on the standard race tracks with wide spaces. It's just not as effective. You will have to leave your car on the racing line. Try it out!
You also might realize that you absolutely s*ck in this game. So every next corner you take will have similar results as before. But there are more ways to f*ck up players. If you are close behind somebody, use his car as barrier in the next corner as you don’t have to brake that way. This probably does not improve your racing line but you probably take out the next player. If you are not even interested in racing you can also totally forget about the corner and use as much speed as you can to wreck someone completely. You will have to reset tho, as he will do that as well to get another shot.
Ah yes, talking about racing lines. Did you ever wondered, why people use the whole width of the track and weirdly drive trough corners from the outside to the inside? That’s nothing you have to worry about. Just try to steer at a certain point once you reach the corner. It really doesn’t matter where you drive on the track but you also really don’t care that you constantly crash your own car.
In addition to racing lines there is one more thing. You actually can not cheat completely in this game. Horrible, right? If a cut a corner to much the game will automatically put your car in to pit speed limiter mode for a few seconds. Man that is so slow. But there is no point to take the corners the right way. If you find yourself in this situation stay on the racing line. This way you can block other players, who catch up behind you. They will have a hard time overtaking you or aborting their drift on the racing line. They will probably hit your back. Nice
Somebody touched you just a little bit in the corner because he probably was 1 km/h to fast and had less grip then you? That's not an apology. That's a reason to ram him and take him out in the next corner! Who are you? A pacifist?
Your car is probably already completely f*cked up but you are still in the game. So you can continue your race and look for other players. If you get close to somebody try to push him off the track. This works well on open race tracks but even better on tight mountain roads with all sorts of obstacles next to the road. If you see a rough mountain wall go for it! Mountain walls are the best ways to get other players stuck or even flip their car.
Can i see, if i am sucessful as an idiot driver and rammer? Yes, absolutely. Once you finished your race take a look at the colored dot with an exclamation mark next to your name. If you've done everything correct your dot should have changed to a color like yellow or orange. If you are super professional you can even reach the "advanced" red level. Note that this is only for pro gamers or should i say professional rammers and m*rons? Either way, this is also a good way to find out who is your friend and who is not. People with the same colored dot are equally productive like you but may also attack you to and the ones with the green and white dots are usually boring drivers which are an easy target and not worth beeing a friend.

So there you have it. Easy steps to become a super a**hole driver. It's really not that hard. If you still have problems getting the red dot repeat reading this guide. You might forget about some simple things you haven't tried. And if that still doesn't work just take a look at the behaviour of some other players.

Satirically speaking, that's rather amusing. Seriously, though...
I'm not even that good at simcade racers and I at least try to demonstrate some proper technique behind the wheel. Normally, I'm playing bumper cars with Forza Drivatars clearly trained by pedal mashing idiots (if at all) who use the textbook for toilet paper. Honestly, I'd just avoid online multiplayer completely given it's unnecessary aggravation from the idiots wreaking havoc and the hardcore drivers trying their hardest to bludgeon anyone with the driver's manual for being a weak driver. I'll stick to private and couch heats.

lol look at that screenshot. all the polish crashing into each other, call them out on their shit and they kick you from the only existing lobby. way to ruin a game by just naturally being pieces of shit

The only improvement I can suggest to this masterpiece is point number 3. If you have people behind you and are on a narrow track/corner, just sitting there can yield much grater results than rewinding.
