Where?
First things first, go see "The old lady" in this location.

How?
By talking to this woman:

.

Talk to her, ask anything you want to ask.
After you are done talking, ask her about that mighty shady loan:

.

And obviously you want to take the whole 150,000 gold loan, cause we ain't about small money here.
Asking the 150,000 gold loan will make her suspicious about your intentions, you'll have to pass a charisma check:

.

But ofcourse we being silver tongued master of human interaction we easily assure her of our good intentions with ou-*cough* her gold.

Take her oh-so-shady deal about taking your blood.
Where next?
Now after we agreed on her shady deal, gave her our blood and are oblicated to pay back, what next?

Don't fret, cause we obviously ain't paying her back.

Behind her back up the stairs is a door, going trough it needs sneaking and lockpicking, going trough it you'll find a hatch to a cellar (ooh spooky) you'll need lockpicking to open it.

Going trough that hatch you will find the reason we ain't paying her back.
But as I promised, no spoilers, but I'll add a section to the guide that will tell you what waits you there, if you choose to know what you are getting into.
Morality and whats in the cellar (SPOILERS) /read after visiting the cellar
In the cellar you'll find 2 to 3 demons, approaching them prompts to a fight that the Loanshark woman joins to, killing them assures your (and others) safety from her deal, and you gained 150,000 gold in the process.

Why is it moral to kill the loanshark and her "helpers"?

From where I look it, using demons to getting loans back in one way or another is an efficient way to assure deal made, but no matter how cool it is, using demons is highly immoral for so many reasons, looking what became of the island on Act 2, Lohse, and also, you'll find out at some point the orphanage owner has made a deal with her, not killing the loanshark and her demons would probably be her end.
Thank you for reading!
I hope I succesfully helped you making your pockets 150,000 gold heavier.
Could you make my guide one like heavier?

Haha, it might be a bit newer lol.

I will go double check it, having the game still installed.
If that's the case and she does trigger a game over screen, then I will rename this guide outdated.

I know this is an older-ish guide but it might still attract some people and cause some...
not so desired results from the happy (now dead:dos2skull:) loanshark customers.

I have to admit my memory from this whole encounter is a bit hazy, but if I do recall correctly she did not break the blood vial (which now seems like the most reasonable thing to do being in her position).
All I kinda remember is going into the cellar, bashing a few demons and a loanshark, and running away with the cash.

Are you saying there is a failsafe for her to trigger a game over? If so, they must've added it later? this sure would make me look like the biggest liar writing this guide :dos2skull:

I dont know if this is on the guide, I don't think it is. (SPOILERS -->)
Once you reach the staircase that leads you to the end battle fight Sanguinia Tell will stop the player that took out a loan and smash their blood vial which will kill them, I only took out a loan once (bc I knew what would happen if I did) so I'm a bit rusty on the next part but I think she causes a game over even if you have other living party members.

Interesting take!
But yea I too think it would make it a bit too obvious,
I loved how off the whole mission felt, through dialogue and hints you could learn so much more about the first shallow sounding quest.
all without real quest indicators only you finding out things by yourself.

You'd think there would be a way to find her gold if you kill her and her minions without taking out a loan.

Maybe like a barred storage vault in the cellar with a magic lock that only she can open, filled with gold. That way even if you do kill her at least you realize you missed out and may want to go back and redo the scenario.

After all 150 000 gold coins is a hell of a lot of coins. About 1.5 tons. Hard to think an old woman keeps that on her person.

Then again that would make the optimal play obvious and everyone would take the loan and kill her.

But yeah, the appreciation works both ways, with stuff like this~ ;p

And what I mean is, I knew the loan bit was there (and what all, was involved in it)... but never wandered across it, for some reason~ xD

So... thanks again~ ;p

Hey, no problem at all.
Didn't notice that myself, although easy to fix sure, but I don't know how Steam acts to me changing stuff, last time it took the guide down for a while and nodded it down the "community page" section.

I would like it to stay up for people to see this, as I really like the upbeat comments you guys write here :)

Ah, but anyway, little inconsistencies add character, no? :p

Also happy to hear the guide was for help and thanks for reading, always appreciated :)

Not to be "that person", but considering you fixed most of the instances of it...

I felt like I should mention you still have "substantial amount of capital income in third act"... in the Description...

Now, I'm not sure how easy that is to fix... but considering Arx is Act 4, as you've adjusted, it'd be the 'Fourth'~ ;p

Cheers for the helpful guide, btw~ I always completely missed this part~ xD

All good lol, there are some people that insists Arx is act 3. Even though it's stated as act 4 in the game. It's kinda annoying to see people like that.
