Ghostly Matter Map Guide
By Cierroth
This guide is compilation of the game maps, organized in a better way of understanding, and pointing the location of important itens like key items, weapons, and power-ups.

Note: I NOT listed the maps of the prologue because... well... it's a PROLOGUE, so it' supposed to be easy and straight forward enough to not get lost!

Graveyard
The entrance to Blackwood's propriety, its so large that you can easily get lost here.

*getting the EVP Recorder soon as possible it's almost mandatory to survive!
*the one of the the Red Gems is in the Necropolis' well
Deeper Areas
A extension of the Graveyard. So large as (or more than) the previous map. Here, you'll find the first game boss(?).

*getting the Ancient Amulet early as possible it's almost mandatory to survive!
Blackwood Mansion
This is the LARGEST map of the game, where the "metroidvania" part of the game begins.
Be prepared to walk A LOT (as the game don't have any kind of warp feature) to explore, take quests, and solve puzzles!

*Try to check the rooms the Inner Tower first, to get Simple Keys. This will make your exploration more quickier.
Catacombs
A creepy place not so big as the previous maps. Here you'll find the last piece of the Anti-demon Kit and fight the second boss of the game.

From this point on, as you'll have the Anti-demon Kit, you have two paths the follow: the Top Floors and the Eastern Rooms.

*I strongly advise go to the Top Floors only after you finish the Swamp.
Eastern Rooms
As the Deeper Areas are the extension of the Graveyard, the Eastern Rooms are the extension of the Blackwood Mansion. Here you'll face the sixth boss of the game (inside the Putrid Well)

Botanical Park
The Blackwood property garden. This is where the game difficulty raises - demanding you precise plataform-jumping skills - and new paths to follow.
Hedge Maze
Another not-so-big area and yet a bit confusing. The Polterscope is your best friend here!
Church
Located in the center of the Hedge Maze, here you'll find the third boss, and the first (and maybe only?) yellow key of the game.
Northern Woods
A dangerous place where you need to be quick defeat your enemies, improve your vertical plataforming skills inside the trees, and face the fourth boss of the game.

*dont't forget to return to the 4 fugitives souls after give the wisps to the ferryman!
Creekbury Swamp
A hellish place where your plataforming skills will be tested. In the end you'll face the fifth boss of the game.
Don't forget to get the weapon in the Red Padlocked Box here!

*There is no map here because the game don't show it on as well*
Old Mines
A long and straight area. More plataforming skills to be tested!
Top Floors
Another extension of the Blackwood Mansion map - and like the Eastern Rooms - a demon infested area. Here you'll face the seventh boss of the game.
Dream World
A compact BUT confusing area. It's smaller than the Hedge Maze and yet so confusing as it!

*There is no map fot this area too, but I am working on making one*
Cursed Temple
A real chalenge for your plataforming skills (although, Creekbury Swamp was the worst for me). You'll face the eight boss of the game at the end.
Sewers
The last extention of the Blackwood Mansion, and the last map of the game as well!

Then again, looking the discussions on this games general discussion page, someone has had this same problem in 2018 too, with no answer either.

I did in fact reload once, and got the duplicate EVP recorder again. I got the original recorder from entry well, and the duplicate came from necropolis well. I might try to enter the catacombs and place the first gem to the gargoyle statue, and then try to throw the coin.

I did get the coin from the scrooge ghost first and threw it to entry well, and am using the ossuary coin for necropolis well. That might be the reason, maybe the ossuary coin is coded to always give you the EVP recorder or something. Too bad I can't test that without restarting again from start.

by the way I did got the EVP Recorder in the well by the entrance and the Ruby in the Necropolis well (maybe each well have a specific Item?)

sorry I didn't face this bug during my playthorugh, I think the wishing well events are somewhat story-related... did you tryed reload before throw the coin?

This is nice one, though do you know how to deal with this sort of bug where you get a duplicate EVP-recoder when you throw second coin into a well (instead of second red gem) ? It's gating me from rest of the game. I have already tried throwing the coin into the same well i got recorder from, but that only consumes the second coin and leaves me with nothing in return.

I would not like to start the game again all over from start.

Thank you for making this! I don't think I would have persevered through the game without it!
