For those considering an SSD. If you have a desktop PC made in the last 8 years you probably have an M.2 slot on your motherboard. Check your mother board for the M.2 slot to be sure (the piece will say M.2 right on it) and see what cards are compatible with your board (can search online). Most cards should be. But it's good to check just so you don't get one of the few that are not.

If you have a machine that meets the reqs, I would recommend a 1TB M.2 NVMe card (looks like a smaller RAM card with the contacts on one of the short sides as apposed to one of the long sides). It's a slimmer form factor SSD with access speeds significantly faster than the box and sata cable kind.

Is this method safe with the use of mods? Does this method give performance issues?

It'd be nice if you could at least tell people if there are risk to using this tool on ARK.

Id rather buy a 2tb hard drive for $50 and keep this game there. Cheaper than an ssd and space openning

absolutely

Won't that affect load and rendering times?

Would recommend getting a nice SSD that's about 512 GB which can be a little pricier if you don't have the extra cash. You'll be able to boot up ARK and all of its stuff and load times are really fast.

I discovered if you uncheck all DLC and Maps you're not actively using it also cuts down on storage space (my install was over 250G, got it down to a more manageable but still ridiculous 180G).
