In Game Settings
Targets color

aim lab's setting's are also very important as it might be harder you to became a god by using the default settings

you might be wondering, how some people have diffirent color targets
first of all, you have to open settings, choose settings, game. There you will find section which says "Target color"
choose a color from from given one or make your own one

How to disable Weapon models

Also a very common question is "how do yuo disable the view models"
the answer is also very simple , you go to settings, choose settings, game scroll down a bit and you will see "weapon visability" you can disable it so the weapon dissapiars

field of view
in game fov ( field of view ) also matters a lot as your sensetivity is different depending on your fov, higher fov - you see more around but the objects become smaller

You should probably turn off mouse acceleration
IN WInodows and in Games

In a Nutshell:
Mouse acceleration (or 'mouse accel' for short) is when your cursor in the game moves further depending on how fast you move your mouse on your desk.
most of the game have mouse accelleration f@cked up so you shouldnt be using them.

Bad mouse accel In a nutshell: it doesnt change on the same rate, thats the problem!

Good mouse accel In a nutshell:

If you want to use mouse accel, check this video out!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBXv0xi-wyQ&ab
The Must Have Settings
Should be OFF

everything on this screenshot should be disabled as it doesnt help you but it does distracts you a lot:

Muzzle flash

A really useless feature as it doesnt hep you in anyway but destructs your eyes

Bullet Impact
a useless flash which comes out every time you shoot

Target Destruction
after hitting a target it brakes into pieces what destructs your eye
Stretched Resolutions
there are many resolutions you can strech, we will be covering 2 main ones in this guide!

STRETCHING SCREEN ON GEFORCE
video for you

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZqC1jZsDHY&ab

4:3

PROS

  • You will focus on certain area only. Since your vision is limited sideways, u will not be distracted with objects popping from sideways. And you can always concentrate on specific point/angle.

  • 4:3 is also useful in over-clocking monitors frequency if you have a low hertz monitor. It is because in some monitor , lower resolution may support or give higher frequency rate.

  • Lower resolution may also yield higher FPS in low/medium end systems.

  • It can also be stretched to full-screen to widen the size of pixels (E.g. player model).

  • There is a myth that the mouse movement in 4:3 resolution is always same regardless of monitor size, brand. This originated from CS 1.6 and is in practice till now. If this is proven true, this may help Lanners.

CONS

  • Since 4:3 limits your sideways view, you cannot cover more angle, hence u need to be aware of the enemies popping from sideways.

  • Your Monitor performs its best at native resolution. And most current monitors are either 16:9 or 16:10.

  • The number of pixels comprising an entity is lower in comparison to 16:9/16:10. Higher the pixels, higher efficiency in representation of entity. (a bit controversial though). However the size of player model, weapon is not changed. The map and character looks a bit better. i.e. more distinct.

16:10

PROS

Everything from 4:3 but the game is less stretched so it might be more appealing to the eye

CONS
It doesn't really have any
Mentality
MENTALITY

lets get it out of the way, its a common misconception that your gonna set your highest score everyday with out puting in the effort.

[[b]You Dont need a Monster of a pc with 240 hz monitor for simple practise[/u], if you want to get into the leader boards[/u] you might wanna get a 120 hz monitor for a smoother gameplay, the game is pretty light some you dont have to worry about the lag

Boosting fps
Fps Problems/freezes

Some people experience fps drops/ freezes, because of a lowend device.
TO fix this you might wanna try out this guide. IT REALLY helps, i had 40 fps crazy 10 sec frezez even in aimlabs. after doing everything in thi guide i got a massive boost

Mouse Grips
Basic informaion

Disclaimer
You DONT have to use them if they dont work for you, you can have mixes of them, if its works for you its good

Mouse grip is the way you hold your mouse in hand, we will be reviewing 3 different types of mouse grips, there Pros and Cons

1. Palm

Pros:
  • Palm grip is the most natural and most comfortable for the majority of users.
  • Much easier to adapt to and start using right away
  • It's suitable for just about any gaming style
  • Less fatigue involved over extended periods of use

Cons:
  • Reaction timing can be a bit slower
  • Trigger response times will be slower because of the way your hand and fingers are positioned on the buttons.

2. Claw

Pros:
  • This style of grip is lighter
  • Gives an advantage in speed and precision
  • Quick and accurate button presses from the fingertips
  • Great for FPS, PvP, and other games that require quick reactions

Cons
  • Learning curve is higher
  • Hand and wrist fatigue occurs faster

3. Finger Tips

Pros
  • This style of grip is the lightest
  • Potentially gives the highest advantage in speed and precision
  • Quick and accurate movement and button presses from the fingertips
  • Great for FPS, PvP, and other games that require quick reactions

Cons
  • Steepest learning curve
  • Players with smaller hands may find a large mouse more difficult to control with this grip
  • Highest level of fatigue during long periods of use

Sensetivity Suggestions

1. Effective DPI
Also known as eDPI.

Most of the cs go professionals have eDPI at around 800-900 there are exeprions tho, like woxic with his stunnung 2200 eDPI

HOW is eDPI Calculated?
(different to most of the games)

iTs pretty simple, your mouse dpi is multiplyed by your ingame sensetivity.
lets say your mouse dpi is 600 and your in game sensetivity is 1.2

600 x 1.2= 720 eDPI

2. High Sensetivity

PROS

  • High sensetivivty is common in the arena based games where you have to do quick 360th and quickly check your corners.
  • High sensetivities can be used by AR players to control the recoil.

CONS

  • Your sensetivity is going to feel your hands shacking
  • Can be hard to aim at small targets

3. Low Sensetivity

PROS

  • Low sensetivivty is mmostly used by snipers for pixel percise aim.
  • Lower sensetivity can be also applied to spraying.

CONS

  • difficult to do 360th an check your corners if your mouse pad is too small
  • can be hard tracking a quick target
Real Life Preparation
1. Hands

Your hands should be warm and relaxed.
To keep your hands warm and relax you could do fingerr exercises.

Finger exercises

  • Place your hand palm-down on a table or other flat surface.
  • Gently straighten your fingers as flat as you can against the surface without forcing your joints.
  • Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and then release.
  • Repeat at least four times with each hand.
How to Improve
Most of your muscle memorization and growth happens in the night time so you better have a good sleep than play an extra hour

We have looked at the settings and set everything we need, whats next?
Next we gotta understand 3 main aspects of becoming a better aimer.

1. Aim
Aim is a very important aspect of improving, you gotta feel your aim.
Most of the pros have played thousand of hours with the same sensitivity so they know how far should you move your mouse to get from a Point "A" to point "B"

2. Accuracy
at all times your accuracy shouldnt go under 85%-90%
you should first of all go for accuracy then speed, as you cant go fast without hitting targets

3. Tempo
tempo is a very interesting topic, every aim lab player has a tempo, tempo is the speed at which the game is played.

After mastering 2 aspects of becoming a good player you will/or have to develop a tempo at which you play."Consistency is the KEY". i saw a very interesting idea on how to developing a tempo, you go online, search "metronome" set it to a small number like: 118 ticks/min and do a perfect 100% accuracy run, then slowly increase it till you cant keep up with it.

Do the highest tempo you can, when you feel comfortable with it move to a higher ticks/sec count

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jrplw6BT0aM&t=164s&ab

Person in the video has great aim and awesome accuracy and the only thing be does to vain more points is increasing the tempo
How to Improve Tracking
Basic Info

Most of the aim lab's players have problems with tracking, as its very hard.
Even tho its hard you got to get good at it to come on top of every assalt rifle fight.

Tracking Sub-Skills
  • mouse control
  • reaction& correction speed
  • reading

Mouse Control

1. Smooth mouse movement

Players might experience stuttering they are too focused on the target instead of the crosshair.
you might find yourself missing way more shots that you should be because of you crosshair rought and shaky movement
"pay attention to the pressure on the mouse to not squeeze it too much or you'll begin to be shakey"

reaction& correction speed

reaction speed in tracking is counted on how fast you notice that the target has changed their movement direction.

Correction speed its calculated on how fast you adjust your cross hair to enemies movement

With time spent on training your reaction&correction speed will drusticly speed up
The Daily Grind
Now lets finaly get to the exercises

There is no best or worst way, it might work for me but not for you! but I went with this basic training and adding extra scenarios to it.

I d suggest doing these 8 simple tasks 5 minuts each

Stage 1 complete begginer
(feel free to skip it if you feel like doing so)

1. Gridshot
consisnats BALLS size, easy to aim
2. Microshot
as a prepiration i would do microshot, the targets are pretty close to each although the sizes diffirensiate it shouldnt be hard

3. Spidershot
you have to do fast flicks and returns here, the size is random so its a little hard

4. Multishot
very interesting exercise with constantly changing size targes

5. Strafetrack
an easy tracking exercise for your muscles

6. Ninjashot
ninjashot is very good as you improve at tracking and the targets arent BALLS and more like actual models

7. Decisionshot (third version)
consisnat size, easy to aim

8. Reflexshot
exelent flicking exercise for you muscles

Stage 2 Preperation

For the second stage you replace Gridshot with Sixshot and decisionshot with switchtracking[/b}so its gonna look like this

1. Sixshot
small targets which are hard to hit at first

2. Microshot
you will always have to practise microshot

3. Spidershot
you will have to practise this exercise al the time

4. Multishot
constant change of targets size, very usefull

5. Strafetrack

6. Ninjashot
will be remove on the next stage

7. SwitchTrack
excellent for improving smooth tracking

8. Reflexshot
exelent flicking exercise for you

3. Dimon rank
How scores work
Game based Training
Lets say you are an overwatch player, and you main character for example is tracer .
You should focus more on tracking than on flicking as her dmg is pretty low and you have to hit many shots to kill the target.
So you can add more tracking exercises to you daily routine.
Or make a separate day on which your gonna train only tracking

Or lets say you are a CS GO player, you have to focuse more on flicking as most of the cs go weapons can oneshot a target

Genualy the routine in the Daily Grind work, but you should always focuse on your mistakes
To Be Included
  • more exercises
  • streched rezolutions
  • More dailies
  • real life preperation

Both flicking and tracking can be utilized in tf2, they are about of equal importance.
NoNwarrior 2 Nov, 2022 @ 10:12pm
ive also been trying to find a TF2 Aim trainer. Is there like a few training's that would be good for TF2 Style gameplay? I would assume more flicking training but I am not really sure.
