Puzzle elements
Overview
There are over two dozens of puzzle elements in the game. Some are easy to understand while others might take some time to get used to. This section explains the functionality of each of them.

Start and exit
The goal of the game is to get from the silver (start) to the green (exit) block.

Basic enemy
Red cubes are your enemies! Avoid them at all costs. They will try to get to you as fast as possible, but will always prefer moving horizontally over vertically. Use that to your advantage.

Trap
Traps will make anyone who steps into them lose two turns. Try to lure your enemies into it but don't hesitate to step into them too if that helps you reach your goal!

Switch
Orange blocks are usually connected to switches. Step on them to open (or close!) new paths!

Button
Similarly to switches (above), buttons can open or close new paths. However you can only use them once!

Pressure plate
Pressure plate is a special type of switch that activates an orange block every time someone steps on it but also deactivates it once that someone leaves.

Mine
Mines will kill anyone who steps on them.

Bomb
When picked up, bombs will kill anyone on the 4 adjacent blocks (horizontally and vertically).

Displacer
The displacer will teleport anyone who steps on it to the block where it points to. Every time it is used it will change its target by moving 90 degrees clockwise.

Booster
Picking up the booster will give you (or your enemies!) two extra turns!

Hidden exit
This black block hides an exit! You need to make an enemy step on it in order to activate it!

Teleport
The teleporter will teleport anyone who steps on it to the target block. Beware that it will happily teleport enemies on top of you or you to them, making you lose the game! On the other hand, enemies will not be teleported on each other. You should consider that when planning your next move!

Shield
Picking up the shiled will grant you immunity to mines or bombs. Once the shield protects you it will disappear. Same thing happens when you pick a shield if you already own one. Enemies cannot use shields.

Power
Gain incredible power and make your enemies run in fear! With this powerup you can destroy your enemies. Similarly to the shield it will not work multiple times and will disappear if you pick one up when already owning one. Enemies cannot use this power.

Fast enemy
This enemy is very similar to the basic one, except that it has two turns per round!

Guard
Guard moves between two or more checkpoints. Make sure you know where its next step will lead so you can avoid it successfully! A guard will not run from you if you have the "power" buff but you will be able to destroy him with it.

Mirror enemy
Mirror enemy simply moves in the same direction as you did on your last turn - if it can. Having the "power" buff causes it to invert its behavior.

Antimirror enemy
Antimirror enemy simply moves in the opposite direction as you did on your last turn - if it can. Having the "power" buff causes it to invert its behavior.
Advanced game mechanics
Enemy movement

Red cubes always move closer to the player. They are not clever and will prefer to move sideways. If they cannot get closer to the player they will simply skip their turn!

In this example the red cube follows the movement of the player. After the player manipulates the cube to stop behind the wall, he can move down since any move made by the cube would put it further from the player - and thats something red cubes will never do! Once the player is far enough from the cube he can lure it from behind the wall and run for the exit.

Blue cubes are much simpler - they simply repeat the latest move the player made:

In case when the move is not possible the blue cube stands still. If the player makes more than one move in a turn only the last one is repeated by the blue cube. This can be sometimes important for solving the level:

Any upward move would activate the blocking wall and make the level impossible to complete. By using the speed boost and moving down as the last move the blue cube mirrors that and allows the player to reach the exit before the blocking wall is activated.

Green cubes are the opposites of blue ones:

Similarly to blue ones, if they cannot move in the opposite direction as the player they will stand still.

Move order

A very important aspect of the game is the fixed order in which enemies move. In levels where there is more than one enemy one of them always moves first. This might be very important to the solution of the level so make sure you know which one it is!

Notice how the top left red cube always moves first and even blocks the bottom right cube from moving to its prefered spot!

Blocking enemies

As stated above, enemies move in fixed order. Thanks to this you might be able to block one enemy by luring another into its path!

In this example a clever use of the blue cube results in the red cube being trapped and the player can easily move to the exit.

Trapping enemies

By leveraging multiple puzzle elements, you can solve even seemingly impossible challenges.

Traps can be used multiple times so don't hesitate to imprison your enemies if you can!

Stepping into danger

Sometimes you can even get away with moving into an enemy! This is a very neat trick that leverages the displacer and is sometimes used in very difficult levels. Keep it in mind!

Manipulating displacers or teleports

When a displacer points to a wall or blank space, it will not move you when you step on it! In many levels this is very important and leveraging this behavior will be the only way to solve the puzzle. Furthermore if a displacer or teleport point to a place already occupied by some enemy then another enemy will not be moved there (it's already taken!). Caution: this is not true for you the player - the displacer will hapily push you to your death.

Notice how the red cube is not teleported because the spot where the teleport leads is already occupied by the blue cube. Only after the blue cube is destroyed can the red one be teleported awa thus freeing the path to victory!
