You just can't get yourself to understand the tutorial? Stuck somewhere? Have questions about the mechanics it doesn't explain? Well, this is the right place! One warning though, there are LOTS of text.

This is a pretty basic one, but apparently some people still need that?
Interface
This is the main thing you'll be looking at.

Starting with the bars:

The top red bar is your health pool (obviously).
The bottom blue-ish bar is your mana pool.
The small white bar is your EXP, the number at it's right end displays your current level.

Next up:

The boxes are your scroll slots.
The tiny yellow thing is your coins/money/whatever.
The shield icons are your currently held shield thingies.

And finally:

The skull is a shortcut to your helmet management screen incase you want to click rather than use a keybind (I'll be going over how it works later!).
The doll is your Voodoo Doll, and the number next to it is how much you have at your disposal (if you want to know what it does, you might aswell play the in-game tutorial?).

Now, quick look at this on the top of your screen:

It's your ammo, enough said.

If something here wasn't explained, try going through the other categories, I might've explained it there rather than here.
The Magic Book
It's a magic book which you use to make magic scrolls, that's it.
Press 1 to open it and read the first page if you're interested in details about the book.

This is the lower corners of a book page; use those to flip pages.

Click on a scroll icon near a spell you want to make - this will produce a pattern, which the game hints you to follow, although it's actually not strict about the way you draw it. For example, if you have to draw a circle with a pattern in it, you can just draw a circle and fill it out, which will still count and is pretty useful to save some time and mana.

I still don't know entirely how it works, but with what you draw the scrolls depends on the spell. As an example, a healing scroll uses mana, whereas a mana scroll would use your blood, depleting your health.

Once you have your scroll, you can either use the mouse wheel to select the slot with it, or hover your mouse cursor over the scroll - after selecting/hovering over the scroll, press the mouse wheel button to use it.

Lastly:

This is your blood vial. Think of it as an EXP bar, but for spellcraft. Get it from enemies obviously.
No other uses for it that I know of.

This section ends.
Weapon Customization
Press 2 to customize your gun.
Now don't go mashing other buttons to see if you can "switch weapons", through the entire game you'll have ONLY this gun, there is no weapon switching as whole. However to make up for that, your weapon is extremely flexible and you can easily change it's type, provided you have a core part.
Left click (don't need to hold!) a gun part you want to move/detach - you'll be able to move it around, and if it's attached it will get detached from the gun. Right click somewhere to place it - it's great for sorting since it saves the position where you put your parts.

Parts of your weapon that are unused and can be modified are highlighted in flashing orange. Move a part you want to attach over it and right click - it'll automatically attach.
I'll explain how to get different types of ammo later in a different guide section.

That's it for this section, experiment a little and you should get the hang of it.
Chips and Gems
Press 3 to open your helmet management screen, then click on your helmet to lift it's cover.
You can move around pretty much everything here like you could with attachments, stuff you place around here saves their position too, so sort them to your heart's content.
Some of the things here I'll call names I came up with, rather than their actual names - those fit them more imho, but if you don't share my thoughts you can call them whatever you want.

This is a core gem:

To understand better, think of a helmet and a core gem as a remote and a battery - a remote won't function without a battery. Except while you will still live and be able to walk around and shoot 'n' stuff, you won't be able to see crap, like at all, which is a really quick and stupid way to die, so don't accidentally trash your only core gem.

You see these weird shields to the right from your helmet?

I still can't figure out what exactly they do, but just think of it as "the more, the better!". How much of those you have filled depends on the core gem you're using. The number of those filled is the max shields you can carry, I guess? There are also their yellow variants, but I don't know what those do too. You can collect them from killing enemies as little drop pickups.

This is a core chip:

While they're not as vital as a core gem, you still want to have those.
The number displayed on it is how much "mod chips" it can have connected to the core gem at the same time.

This is a mod chip:

You can move them around like attachments, but you don't have to "attach" them to anything. Simply place them where you want them to be and right click - this will make a thread that connects the mod chip with the core gem, basically activating it. A better core chip will let you use more mod chips, so look out for those.

That's it for this section, way more text than the others, ain't it?
Pickup Items
Pickup items are those little things that drop from enemies. I'll be going over those.

Painkiller Syringe

It's just blue syringes that restore health. They drop fairly often in big amounts. Still not sure if it's a fixed amount or a percentage of HP restored.

Blood Vessel

It looks like a painkiller syringe but with red liquid, it also drops not as often and serves as experience for your spellcraft.

Grenade

Self-explanatory, press G to throw one.

Ammo

It's ammo.
Other Mechanics
Little functions this game has.

Execution

Sometimes when you defeat an enemy, rather than instantly die they'll be marked as "disarmed", flashing yellow. Come near one and press the "interact" button (E by default!) to execute them - the execution animation will depend on what type your gun is and if it has any ammo left. It won't, however, take any ammo from your clip or total stockpile. As a benefit, for executing an enemy you get twice the rewards rather than just killing them.

Smart Ammo
This might be confusing at first, but the ammo types you get from picking up ammo packs depends on your current equipped weapon type. So if you run through the game with a pistol and expect some other type of ammo to pop up, keep dreaming. A good way to use that to your advantage is to first clear out a room, but NOT pick up the ammo packs. After you're done, customize your weapon and make it a type you'd like ammo for, then go around and pick up all ammo packs and use the weapon if you're satisfied with the ammo. If else, go to the next level and repeat until enough ammo.

Show Help

It's not really useful, but incase you forgot what something does, click that to make a window pop up explaining how it works - click that button again to dismiss it.

Knife/Sword

Press F to use it, hold it to repeatedly use it. It's pretty good for stealth kills and saving ammo!
It still produces some noise though, so be at a distance from your enemy before actually using it.

Chests...

Approach the chest (recommend doing it from a vertical side) until a little black bar shows up with it's cost - check if you have enough money and press the interact key to open it. Although, there's a chance that sometimes the chest will turn out to be a mimic, so be on your toes.
Conclusion
This guide still needs some more things to be explained, and I still need some knowledge myself aswell, I'll try and update this guide more as I become more aware of the game.

Thanks for reading, I guess?

you're going to lose a lot of customers for not just putting this into the game and make it easy to learn.

the magic book as far as i could tell used mana for healing items (or just items associated with health that dont techincally heal) where as things for mana ie several of the magic attack spells and mana scrolls use blood instead. a thing that confused me with this is why you have to use your own blood when you carry a vial of everyone elses blood from your previous kills but whatever.
