1. The Art of Camouflage
The Art of Camouflage
Escape the Jagras pack by hiding in some shrubs.


You'll unlock this achievement in the Tutorial right at the start of the game. After you chase the first traces on the ground you will encounter some Jagras in the jungle. You will be told to hide in the bushes. You will do this simply by running to the shrubs and pressing the crouch button.
2. Welcome to the New World
Welcome to the New World
Earn the right to take on two-star assignments.


Story related, can't be missed.
As you progress through the main quests, you'll unlock this.
You'll unlock this after completing Kestodon Kerfuffle quest.
3. Nothing Stops This Commission
Nothing Stops This Commission
Earn the right to take on three-star assignments.


Story related, can't be missed.
As you progress through the main quests, you'll unlock this.
Once you become a 3-star hunter, this achievement will unlock.
4. The Bigger They Are...
The Bigger They Are...
Mount your first monster.


Your elevation needs to be higher than the monster; you need to jump from ledges and hit the monster with your airborne attack. After repeating this for a couple of times, you'll mount the monster, follow the game's instructions to finish the mount and unlock the achievement successfully.
5. Hunters United
Hunters United
Complete a quest via multiplayer.


Achievement unlocks after completing a quest with a friend or respond to SOS flares and help random hunters complete their quest.
6. First Friends
First Friends
Befriend your first Tailraider.


During solo play, you will see a Palico icon on your mini-map, walk up to the Palico and it will join you for that session and unlocks the achievement. Keep in mind you need to have your own Palico with you.
7. Defender of Astera
Defender of Astera
Earn the right to take on four-star assignments.


Story-based, can't be missed.
You'll unlock this achievement once you complete the 9th assigned quest of the game, the quest requires you to slay an Anjanath.
8. Capture Novice
Capture Novice
Capture your first monster.


To capture a monster, keep attacking it till its weakened and starts limping towards its nest, place a trap down and use tranq bombs on the monster while it's in the trap to capture it. Once you successfully capture the first monster, this achievement will be unlocked. Keep that in mind you can't capture Elder Dragons.
9. Giant Crown
Giant Crown
Record your first silver crown or higher for monsters that appear from the low or high rank.


Record your first silver crown or higher to unlock this achievement.
10. Into the Deep
Into the Deep
Earn the right to take on five-star assignments.


Story-based, can't be missed.
You'll unlock this achievement after slaying Legiana in The Coral Highlands.
11. An Inquisitive Mind
An Inquisitive Mind
Complete your first investigation.


This achievement will unlock after completing your first investigation. Go to the Resource Center and register an investigation, post and complete it to unlock this achievement.
12. HELP!
HELP!
Fire an SOS flare for the first time.


Depart on any expedition, press the menu button, navigate to "Quest" bar and Fire SOS Flare to get this achievement.
13. Death Begets Life
Death Begets Life
Successfully guide Zorah Magdaros.


Story-based, can't be missed.
At the beginning of the quest, you will land on Zorah Magdaros and the objective will be to destroy the 3 magma cores before you destroy the last one Nergigante will appear but you don't need to fight him if you don't want to after a certain amount of time he will leave.
After the magma cores are destroyed, you will be brought to the barricade where you will have to weaken him by firing cannons and ballistic at him. When he is weakened enough, you can drop down to the boat on the left side of the barrier and use the lever on the front of the boat to shoot the large spear which will cause a cutscene, and the achievement should unlock after the result screen.
14. Bosom Buddies
Bosom Buddies
Raise the proficiency of any Palico Gadget to level 10.


To unlock this achievement, you have to level up a Palico Gadget all the way to max level. As you play quests/investigations, you gather experience towards your Palico. Once you level up the gadget to level 10, the achievement will unlock.
15. The Empress of the Highlands
The Empress of the Highlands
Earn the right to take on seven-star assignments.


Story-based, can't be missed.
After the missions with Zorah Magdoros have concluded, the game switches over to High-Rank quests and monsters.
You have to investigate a new kind of Anjanath to get it started, which gives you the "right" for six-star assignments. Once that's done, you start hunting a new kind of Rathian. Upon completing the quest Old Monster In The New World, you'll unlock this achievement.
16. New World Settler
New World Settler
Establish five camps.


Firstly, after you "discover" a camp location (Handler will let you know once you find one) you need to come back and speak to Resource Center to receive the delivery bounty. Once you complete five of those bounties and unlock 5 camps, this achievement will unlock.

17. One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall
One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall
Earn the right to take on eight-star assignments.


Story-based, can't be missed.
Very soon after completing the achievement for seven-star assignments, you'll be tasked with tracking down Nergigante and eventually hunting him. Once you complete the mission A Wound And A Thirst, you'll unlock this achievement.
18. Angling for a Bite
Angling for a Bite
Catch your first fish.


To unlock this achievement, you need to depart on an expedition and find a fishing pond (The first pond you'll run into is at Ancient Forest, North side of Section 1) equip your Fishing Rod from the item bar and capture your first fish.
19. Movin On Up
Movin On Up
Move into an upgraded room.


Story-based, can't be missed.
After progressing so far into the story, you can speak with housekeeper feline anytime to move to a new room.
20. The Sapphire Star
The Sapphire Star
Solve the mystery of the Elder Crossing.


Story-based, can't be missed.
This is the final story based achievement and will unlock after you defeat Xeno'jiiva.
21. Monster Slayer
Monster Slayer
Hunt 100 large monsters.


Unlocks after hunting 100 large monsters.
22. Miniature Crown
Miniature Crown
Record your first miniature crown for monsters that appear from the low or high rank.


Need to hunt a miniature crown sized monster to unlock this achievement. I recommend doing event quests with increased chances for crowns.

23. Mmm, So Tasty!
Mmm, So Tasty!
Cook your first well-done steak.


Firstly you need to kill a bunch of small monsters and carve them for Raw Meat after that depart on an expedition. Once you arrive, look for the "BBQ Spit" in your item bar and equip it.
Your character will sit down to roast the meat, and a song will play. Count out 4-5 seconds, press the button, and you should have a well-done steak, and the achievement will unlock. If the meat has turned black, it has burned and will not count.
24. Impregnable Defense
Impregnable Defense
Obtain five highly rare pieces of armor.


To unlock this achievement craft 5 different pieces of rarity 8 armour, you'll need Elder Dragon materials to make these pieces.
25. Temper Temper
Temper Temper
Hunt your first tempered monster.


Once you get to hunter rank 29, you will get a mission called Beyond the Blasting Scales, which requires you to fight 2 tempered Bazelgeuse. This is when you unlock tempered monsters.
Investigating a tempered track (tracks with threat levels) gives you a chance of unlocking a new investigation. Go to Resource Center, and you'll find new investigations with purple aura around them, register them and complete one successfully to unlock this achievement.
26. The Hunters Life for Me
The Hunters Life for Me
Complete 50 optional quests.


This achievement will unlock sometime after completing 50-55 optional quests.
27. Step into the Arena
Step into the Arena
Complete your first arena quest.


In order to unlock this achievement you need to go the Gathering Hub and speak with Arena Counter, accept one of the challenges and complete it. After completing the challenge quest the achievement will be unlocked.
28. Commissioned Work
Commissioned Work
Obtain 100,000 research points.


This achievement will unlock after you earn 100.000 research points, keep that in mind you DON'T need to have all the points at the same time. It'll unlock eventually as you continue playing the game.
29. Capture Pro
Capture Pro
Capture 50 monsters.


Just like the Capture Novice achievement, weaken the monster to the limping state then use a trap and a few tranq bombs to capture them. You'll have to do this on 50 monsters to unlock this achievement.
30. Power is Everything
Power is Everything
Obtain five highly rare weapons.


To unlock this achievement craft 5 rarity 8 weapons. You'll be able to craft rarity 8 weapons towards the very end of the game's story mode. (Hr 13-14 when you can begin fighting elder dragons properly)
31. Bourgeois Hunter
Bourgeois Hunter
Possess 1,000,000 zenny.


Unlike the other achievement, to unlock this one, you NEED to collect 1.000.000 Zenny on hand at the same time.
32. I Am the Reinforcements
I Am the Reinforcements
Respond to an SOS flare, and help complete 10 quests.


Talk to the Handler or use the quest board.
Select Join a Quest > Respond to SOS > Search for SOS Flares > Pick any of the quests that appear (not expeditions though as they do not count)
Complete 10 quests successfully using this method to unlock the achievement.
33. Hunters United Forever
Hunters United Forever
Complete 100 quests via multiplayer.


Similar to Hunters United achievement, keep playing with friends or respond to SOS flares to complete 100 quests via multiplayer and unlock this achievement.
34. The Beginning of a New Expedition
The Beginning of a New Expedition
Earn the right to take on one-star master rank assignments.


Iceborne story-based, can't be missed.
Unlocks shortly after progressing through Iceborne story.
35. The True Hunt Begins
The True Hunt Begins
Hunt your first large monster in a master rank quest.


You can't miss this achievement as you need to hunt a large monster, as soon as you arrive in Iceborne you'll be assigned with a quest to hunt Beotodus. After completing the quest, you'll have it.
36. First Ride
First Ride
Use your first Raider Ride.


This one is pretty easy to get. After arriving into Iceborne story depart on any expedition, walk outside of the camp, navigate through your item bar, you'll be looking at for the item called "Raider Ride" once found it use it. A small will arrive shortly, hop on its back to unlock the achievement.
37. The Franchise Hunter
The Franchise Hunter
Complete 50 investigations.


To unlock this achievement, you need to complete 50 investigations. Go to Resource Center and register a bunch of investigations, keep that in mind you can repeat the same investigation a several times. You can keep track of your completed investigations by checking your Guild-Card in the game.
38. Elderslayer
Elderslayer
Slay 50 elder dragons.


This achievement unlocks after slaying 50 Elder Dragons via any quests.
39. Time to Get Serious
Time to Get Serious
Earn the right to take on two-star master rank assignments.


This is Iceborne story-based, can't be missed.
Unlocks after beating Viper Tobi Kadachi in Iceborne story.
40. Source of Relaxation
Source of Relaxation
Spend some time in a natural hot spring.


Depart on an expedition to Hoarfrost Reach to camp 1 and go to area 2. You'll find a hot spring there.
Stand there for a few seconds, and achievement will unlock.

41. The Elusive Elder Dragon
The Elusive Elder Dragon
Earn the right to take on three-star master rank assignments.


Iceborne story-based, can't be missed.
This achievement unlocks after defeating Barioth in Iceborne story.
42. Eager Engineer
Eager Engineer
Help the Steamworks 20 times.


Once you have finished the first two hunts in Iceborne, you are shown a basic walkthrough of the new area. One of these new spots in the Steamworks. You can turn in an ore as fuel to this place, which allows you to play a mini-game. You probably have an enormous stockpile of ore already from beating the base game. Completing each round of the mini-game gives you a reward item.
The achievement unlocks after playing the mini-game a few times.
43. Confronting the Unknown
Confronting the Unknown
Hunt your first variant monster.


Unlocks after defeating Shrieking Legiana in Iceborne story.
44. Indomitable Spirit
Indomitable Spirit
Earn the right to take on four-star master rank assignments.


Iceborne story-based, can't be missed.
Unlocks after defeating Shrieking Legiana in Iceborne story.
45. Skilled Steamworker
Skilled Steamworker
Send the Steamworks into overdrive.


To get overdrive, you must keep playing the Steamworks. You'll be able to see the Steam indicator on top of the screen it starts from yellow as you continue playing it turns orange and then red when the red bar feels you get a hilarious cutscene, and the achievement unlocks.
46. Personal Treasure
Personal Treasure
Equip your first pendant


There are many ways to obtain pendants; you can purchase them from the steam store or unlock a few of them by completing certain quests.
To equip a pendant to go to Item Box > Pendant Settings > Select any weapon and any pendant
And you'll have the achievement.
47. The Old Everwyrm
The Old Everwyrm
Earn the right to take on five-star master rank assignments.


Iceborne story-based, can't be missed.
As you progress further through Iceborne story, you'll be assigned to SLAY Velkhana (not repelling it).
Achievement unlocks after Velkhana is successfully slain.
48. Indomitable
Indomitable
Hunt 50 tempered monsters.


Once you get to hunter rank 29, you will get a mission called Beyond the Blasting Scales, which requires you to fight 2 tempered Bazelgeuse. This is when you unlock tempered monsters.
When you're looking at the quest screen, a tempered monster always has a purple outline.
That's how you can tell between a normal hunting quest and a tempered hunting quest.
Now you have to hunt 50 of them regardless of the tier, and you will get the achievement.
49. Established Hunter
Established Hunter
Reach hunter rank 100.


As you complete any quests, you receive experience towards your Hunter Rank. Achievement unlocks as you play the game and reach Hunter Rank 100.
50. To the Land of Discoveries
To the Land of Discoveries
Reach the Guiding Lands.


Right after finishing Iceborne story, you are tasked with tracking a monster to the Elder's Recess. Upon accepting the mission, a lengthy cutscene plays, and you briefly have to explore a new area before another cutscene. Once the second scene is over, you have effectively completed the mission and can end the expedition right there. There is no need to fight the introduced monsters. On the mission end screen, you unlock the achievement.
51. An End and a Beginning
An End and a Beginning
Solve the mystery of the Old Everwyrm.


Unlocks after completing the last quest in Iceborne story called "Paean of Guidance" you'll be assigned to slay Ruiner Nergigante and Shara Ishvalda. (It unlocks after all of the scenes)
52. Clutch Claw Neophyte
Clutch Claw Neophyte
Study the ways of the clutch claw.


Once you launch the game with Iceborne installed, go to the smithy. He gives you an arena quest about the clutch claw (called "Learning the Clutch" it's under the Low/High-Rank list), finish that and you'll get your achievement. It walks you through the basics and is quite helpful, so it's a win-win.
53. Interior Decorator
Interior Decorator
Have 50 different types of room decor to choose from.


There are a few ways of getting decoration for your room in Iceborne, you can purchase some from the steam store or unlock some by doing certain quests, and some can be purchased via Research Points in-game. Talk to the housekeeper cat to purchase them.
Once you have 50 different room decorations, this achievement will unlock.
54. Remodeler
Remodeler
Change your room's interior for the first time.


After arriving into Iceborne story and completing the first quest, you'll be able to access your room from Seliana. Go to your room, talk to the Housekeeper cat once the tutorial is over, select Room Customization and change any option to unlock the achievement.
55. Unwavering Defense
Unwavering Defense
Obtain five scarce pieces of armour.


Simply craft five different Rarity 12 armour pieces at the smithy. To obtain the required materials, the monsters must be defeated in Master Rank hunts.
A few monsters with rarity 12 armor:
  • Blackveil Vaal Hazak
  • Gold Rathian
  • Kirin
  • Kushala Daora
  • Lunastra
  • Namielle
  • Ruiner Nergigante
  • Shara Ishvalda
  • Silver Rathalos
  • Teostra
  • Velkhana
56. Experienced Rider
Experienced Rider
Use Raider Ride many times.


This achievement is for using the Raider Ride about 10 times. The fastest way to get this is to depart on an expedition walk outside of the camp, navigate through your item bar and use the "Raider Ride".
Hop on the back of the small monster, return from the expedition and repeat the process.
57. Monster Hunter
Monster Hunter
Hunt 500 large monsters.


Just like Monster Slayer achievement but this will unlock after hunting 500 large monsters.
58. Hunter Prodigy
Hunter Prodigy
Hunt 100 large monsters in master rank quests.


Unlocks after successfully hunting 100 Master Rank large monsters in Iceborne content.
59. Devastating Offense
Devastating Offense
Obtain five extremely rare weapons.


This achievement requires you to craft five Rarity 12 weapons at the smithy. You'll most likely unlock all the materials for crafting after the Iceborne story.
60. Master Capturer
Master Capturer
Capture 50 large monsters in master rank quests.


To capture a Large Monster, you need to weaken it until reaches limping state seriously, and it's trying to run back to the nest. Place a trap down and throw a few tranq bombs to capture it successfully.
Achievement unlocks after capturing 50 Large Monsters in any Master Rank quests. Keep in mind you can't capture Elder Dragons.
61. Another Miniature Crown
Another Miniature Crown
Obtain your first miniature crown for capturing endemic life in master rank.


The easiest way to do this is by capturing the Carrier Ant in the Wildspire Waste area 1and 2. The reason for being easy this way is that you will often catch more than 4 ants at once when your throwing the net on their street.
62. Insatiable Investigator
Insatiable Investigator
Analyze 50 special tracks.


After reaching the Guiding Lands (right after Iceborne story) start picking up monster tracks, and this achievement will eventually unlock.

63. Fate's Conclusion
Fate's Conclusion
Slay Ruiner Nergigante in the Guiding Lands, removing the cap on maximum master rank.

Reach MR 99 and have a region in your Guiding Lands level up to 2 to unlock this quest.
After Ruiner Nergigante is slain the achievement unlocks, and Master Rank cap will be removed.
64. Master Explorer
Master Explorer
Establish all camps in the Hoarfrost Reach.


5 camps are required to unlock this achievement.

65. Another Giant Crown
Another Giant Crown
Obtain your first gold crown for capturing endemic life in master rank.


The easiest way to do this is by capturing the Carrier Ant in the Wildspire Waste area 1and 2. The reason for being easy this way is that you will often catch more than 4 ants at once when you're throwing the net on their street.
66. In Search of Rare Materials
In Search of Rare Materials
Gather materials at rare outcrops and bone piles.


For this achievement, you'll need to gather materials in the Guiding Lands.
Specifically, you'll need to gather at one Giant Bonepile and one Giant Mining Outcrop. To get these giant gathering points to appear, you need to gather at the regular bone piles and mining outcrops in a region. This will level up the gathering points in that region. The game tells you when a giant gathering point appears. You can check how close you are on the map.
67. Evolving Ecology
Evolving Ecology
Raise any region to level 7.


To get this achievement, you must reach Master Rank 100, slay Ruiner Nergigante in Guiding Lands to remove the cap from your Master Rank and Guiding Lands regions.
After that's done raise any region's level to 7 by fighting monsters in the specific region and achievement should unlock.
68. Miniature Crown Collector
Miniature Crown Collector
Obtain a miniature crown for 10 or more monsters that appear from the low or high rank.


Record 10 or more miniature crowns to unlock this achievement.

69. Master Slayer
Master Slayer
Slay 50 elder dragons in master rank quests.


Hunt 50 Elder Dragon in any kind of Master Rank quests to unlock this achievement.
70. Rainbow Bright
Rainbow Bright
Capture a creature that glitters like a rainbow.


It would be best if you captured a Prism Hercudrome to unlock this achievement, this Endemic Life is available in many areas, but it will only spawn at Dusk or Dawn.
They only spawn in specific spots, but the best areas to find them is in area 2 of Ancient Forest or area 10 of Wildspire Waste. They will spawn on a specific large tree, barely move, and are easily caught.

Obtain a gold crown for 10 or more monsters that appear from the low or high rank.


Record 10 or more gold crowns to unlock this achievement.

72. Seen It All
Seen It All
Hunt 30 variant monsters.


Hunting these monsters count towards the achievement progress:
  • Shrieking Legiana
  • Seething Bazelgeuse
  • Savage Deviljho
  • Scarred Yian-Garuga
  • Blackveil Vaal Hazak
  • Ruiner Nergigante
73. Architectural Artist
Architectural Artist
Have 120 different types of room decor to choose from.


There are a few ways of getting decoration for your room in Iceborne, you can purchase some from the steam store or unlock some by doing certain quests, and some can be purchased via Research Points in-game. Talk to the housekeeper cat to purchase them.
Once you have 120 different room decorations, this achievement will unlock.
74. Snuggles for All
Snuggles for All
Capture a fluffy, snuggly creature.


Start an expedition to Ancient Forest or Wildspire Waste (mostly at dawn time) and check-in both areas the non-hostile creatures like Aptonoth and Apceros with your equipped Ghillie Mantle. A white looking bird might spawn on top of them. Depart on an expedition to Rotten Vale Central Camp 11. Once there, you'll want to go to Area 15, and you can find a small blue pond near the end of the trail. Look into this pond, and there is a random chance that a Petricanths will spawn, which is the living fossil fish that we are going after. It's a dark fish with glowing blue spots on it. Equip your Fishing Rod and capture it to unlock the achievement. If you can't find the fish in the area, you need to return from the expedition and depart again till its there. The canteen skill "Felyne Zoo Master" increases the chances for Endemic Life spawn.

This is for capturing a gold spring macaque, a gold-furred variant of the pearl spring macaque.
There's a chance for them to spawn at area 2 and 6 on the hot spring in Hoarfrost Reach, take the ghillie mantle with you and capture one with the capture net to get this achievement.

Depart on an expedition to Rotten Vale camp 1. Once there, talk to your Palico, and make sure to leave them behind. Then, put on your ghillie mantle, and proceed down the path, jumping down to the left and following along the left wall until you reach a tunnel entrance that has a Mosswine. There is a random chance that the Bristly Crake will be on the back of this Mosswine.
Another spawn location for Bristly Crake spawn is to fast travel to camp 11, and you'll want to go to Area 15. On the opposite side of where you enter, you should spot another Mosswine with another possible chance at spawning the Bristly Crake.

Capture a creature that loves to dig holes in the ground.


This achievement cannot be unlocked until you have completed the story and unlocked the Guiding Lands. They have a chance to spawn at Guiding Lands regardless of the ecosystem levels.
You can use binoculars or the surveyor set to locate them from a distance, but you must have the Ghillie Mantle equipped to approach them. Here are the locations they can be encountered:
  • Area 6 surrounding a Herb on the east wall.
  • Area 7 past a crawling portion in the middle of the Y near a herb.
  • Area 8 on the western wall below a might seed and surrounding a carrier ant trail.
  • Area 9 near a herb in the middle of the area.
  • Area 10 in a drop-down on the northeast corner near honey
  • Area 11 in the middle of a U shaped cliff near a herb.
  • Area 12 surrounding an Ivy on the east wall
  • Area 13 near a Devil's blight on top of a hill.

Find your first treasure.


To be able to find a treasure you must first reach level 6 unity with the feline tribe for their region (bug trappers = ancient forest, Boaboa = hoarfrost reach etc.). When you do, you will unlock Pawswap for that tribe, and the next time you visit the area, there should be a paw icon holding a gem in their lair (also a fast travel point). When you talk to them, you can choose to swap items. Each item will cause the cats to react differently. You want to choose an item that makes them hop and beg with their paws out. Bring stuff like mega potions, max potions, barrel bombs, traps and tranq bombs. There's a chance to receive a treasure tip, once you do hunt the treasure to get the achievement.

This achievement is for capturing the "Wintermoon Nettle". It would be best if you progressed the story to the Shrieking Legiana fight to unlock the northern portion of Hoarfrost Reach.
This jellyfish-like creature has a chance to spawn at the summit of Hoarfrost Reach on clear nights. You may be able to spot it by looking at the southern peak in Area 14 with the survey set or binoculars.

Ah okay, didn't notice that.
Isn't it a lot of extra work to keep the order up to date though? I mean, the global unlocking percentages are changing every now and then.
Number 98 for example should be above the two gold crown achievements.

Especially since the order of the achievements in here is completely broken and pretty similiar achievements are all over the place...
