"I finally managed to make a 6-wide auto-mixer so I added into my compact factory and messed around with other things which reduced the size by almost 30%. So this version is 97x70 and like all the others makes a full belt of any 4-layer or 3-layer shape or 2 full belts of any 2-layer shape. Its split into 16 6-wide-tileable modules for each quadrant then, 8 stacker arrays to make half-shapes, 4 to make layers, 2 to make 2-layer shapes and 1 for 4-layer shapes. since I only need 15 stacker arrays i use the remaining space to shove a timer in which I'll talk about later. I'm pretty sure I'm starting to reach theoretical size limits with this thing so I probably won't be able to make a smaller one for a long time.
Both the machines and the wiring are super dense and I've spent more hours than I want to admit compacting every little part of this thing. This is also faster than my last version at switching to a new shape at only ~4-4.5 mins to have a full belt outputting. I did this by adding a trashing system which deletes everything in the stackers and belts after the Hub switches to a new shape. To do this I had to design a short-pulse generator (every component, eg. NOT gate, adds a tiny amount of delay so chaining a few and having it go into a XOR gate will turn it on then off quickly) to send a signal to a long timer (just an item going along a belt with a bunch of readers and combining them with ORs into 1 signal, similar design to when i used to play Infinifactory). The logic to switch between 2-, 3- and 4-layered shapes and decode each shape into their quadrant shapes and colours is actually pretty simple, I pointed it out in the picture if you're interested.
