General tips for all missions
  • Recycling is your friend. All missions start you out with some supplies, and usually you will either need to turn soup into minerals for tools, tools into chemicals for soup, or just recycling anything to get energy. Don't be afraid to recycle soup in some of these missions.
  • Related to the first tip, if you have the energy and time, try to upgrade tools before recycling them. you will get three times the amount of chemicals.
  • I don't think any of the missions require fulfilling the captain's goal, although it might happen naturally on some of them. I believe Tom's mission starts with it already completed.
  • Some events appear to be set, such as the day a planet appears, but for the most part events are random and it can take multiple attempts to complete a mission even when playing perfectly.
  • I don't know if this was just me being unlucky, but these missions loved to injure crewmates. If possible, try and keep a first aid kit available.
  • When in space, I think the single most useful tool to keep is the tape. The handbook and lighter are also useful. Try to keep in mind what you can craft when recycling tools. Upgrading the crafting system is not always the best idea. Sometimes you get lucky with events and get tools you didn't expect.
Mission 0 - Where's My Oxygen
This is the first mission when you open the missions menu, but it was the last mission added to the game (as a free content update). I had the hardest time finding any information about successfully completing this mission, and ended up getting the Giant Leap achievement without it. Please leave a comment if you have any tips for successfully completing this mission with all objectives!
Mission 1 - Space Pursuit
This mission stars April, and the main objective involves getting a decent amount of all crafting materials (chemicals, energy, minerals). This was the first mission so my memory is the fuzziest, but it took me several tries to complete all three objectives. To get minerals, recycle soup. Upgrade at least one tool to recycle, and possibly another tool to get the chemicals. I believe the planet you land on is random, but your expeditions should focus solely on getting energy. I believe there is time for two expeditions, so send someone out with the correct tool (if available) and the battery both times. The mission is only 20 days, so it doesn't take too long to figure out if a run will be successful or not.
Mission 2 - The Plague from Outer Space
Everyone's favorite captain Emmet is here for this mission. I don't remember having too much trouble with this mission - I think it took me two tries. I also can't remember if the planet is random or not. At any rate, the goal is collecting chemicals so your main tasks will be sending expeditions out to whatever spot gives you them, along with the handbook. Beyond that, upgrade less-used tools to recycle them.
Mission 3 - Star Raiders
This mission stars Deedee on Mootopia. This is the longest mission in terms of in-game days. I believe I finished this in a single attempt. I finished on day 54 with no wasted days, so there might be one day of wiggle room where you don't have an expedition but try to immediately start a new one as soon as one ends. You should be mostly fine on soup, so it's just making sure you craft or obtain the tools necessary to explore all the areas. For the most part, I don't think I sent people out with the shovel, handbook, or battery, preferring to keep them on hand for events. For the Petersons, make sure not to kill the roaches when the event comes up, always talk to them if they are being bothersome, and keep a shovel on hand for one of their events (the event also allows a gun but I've never used it so don't know if it is successful or not).
Mission 4 - Astrocitizens Assemble!
Baby starts this mission alone on Phobonos. The last crewmate, April, arrives on day 45, so that is the earliest the mission can be completed by. I finished this in one attempt, so I'd say it's pretty easy. You start with a lot of soup, don't be afraid to recycle it for minerals and/or energy. I think I upgraded the crafting system the first time solely from energy from recycling soup. When sending missions, try to only send out with the right tool and handbook, not the shovel or battery, as these can be items used to protect against raiders. I ended up upgrading the expedition system to unlock better areas. I believe there is an area with the upgraded system to get energy with just the lighter. For healing the unlikely visitor, make sure to explore when you hear crying, and their events require the first aid kit, mask, and tape (I think I only used the first two items, then they left the ship).
Mission 5 - Alone Among the Stars
This solo mission is all about Tom. This is one of the longer missions at 50 days. I actually almost beat this on my first attempt, but got injured on day 48 without a first aid kit and lost my vigorous status on day 50. I completed all objectives on the second attempt, so I'd say this is one of the easier missions also. Start by crafting tools with the minerals, recycling them, and using the chemicals to make soup. once you recycle two items, make sure to upgrade an item to recycle so you can get three times the chemicals. Once you do that, inventory management shouldn't be too hard. Since you never land, I didn't value items like the gun or armor very highly (if I came across them). You will see some events that you've probably never seen before, due to the amount of time spent in space. Make sure to keep a sock on hand at all times, as you go insane frequently. I don't actually know what happens if you don't cure insanity, but it wasn't challenging for me to cure it within a few days. Make sure to also keep a first aid kit on hand to cure injuries, which seemed to happen with greater frequency, and make sure to have enough soup on hand for days 45+ to get to well fed status.
Mission 6 - Galactic Mutiny
By far the hardest mission, thanks Maegan. I don't know the mechanics of the morale status (Enemy, Insubordinate, Loyal, Friend) and couldn't find much info on this mission at all. The most helpful thing I found was a YouTube video by SirBucketHead of this mission, where he still doesn't manage to complete all objectives, but does find out that starving your crew seems to make them move out of enemy status quickly. I managed to complete all objectives on day 24, but don't ask me how, because I don't know either. I do think starving them helps to get out of the enemy status. I don't know if it helps to get out of insubordinate though, so not sure I would recommend starving past that point. Baby always seemed like the first to be available to go out on missions and he is usually the one that becomes hungry first, so I do believe the morale status is tied to hunger in some way. Don't bother trying to keep everyone well-fed at the beginning, it won't work. The first day mentions the need to be tough to everyone, so that's what I tried to do - and keep on hand the handbook and tape for when Baby and Emmet get mutinous. I didn't have any events come up for April that required an item. Beyond that, I would imagine getting a soulmate is also somewhat random, so this mission will most likely require several (or more) attempts. One last note: you won't be sending out expeditions for at least the first 10 days, so no need to land on the first planet, which i believe is always Phobonos. I think the second planet might always be Robotofu, and I assume Mootopia would come up eventually. I tried a few runs on Robotofu, but actually found it easier on Phobonos, as you only need the gun to get chemicals. If this mission is giving you trouble, I would assume Mission 0 - Where's My Oxygen (also starring Maegan) would also count towards the achievement.

For mission 6, I just encountered a mutiny event from April where I had to use the gun to make her back down

In Where's My Oxygen I suggest to sacrifice one of the crew members (for me was that Deedee) and repair the oxygen when it's in critical state. I had to try it a few times and craft/recycle a lot.
In my successful gameplay she lived 20 days without food and I had an option to sacrifice her due to low oxygen. So in 20 day I kicked her out and repaired it, the rest of the gameplay was normal just keep in mind to repair oxygen at least one more time.

Damn, came for Where's my Oxygen :)
Did all other missions with all objectives on mobile. Yeah, that's enough for achievements but i'm still interested.
