Captains Log: 3142.7.17

We finally did it! for the last few weeks our patrol group has been tasked with protecting a convoy in the outer reaches of the system. Yesterday the convoy came under attack by the enemy. In the confusion I saw our chance. We made a break for it, pulling the Ravenor out of the fight an making a break for the adjacent system but not before crippling that bastard admiral Vespar's ship and leaving them to the void. It was masterful! We are finally done taking orders and risking our lives for nothing. I have dreamed of this moment since I was conscripted as a boy. As for the crew they are similarly elated. Apart from Armin. He was never keen on the idea of deserting. I shall have to keep an eye on him...
As for what to do next? Well, we are all captains of our own destinies for now but whats more we have escaped with the Ravenor largely intact. She is truly a lethal beast as we all know from or 15+ years of service. I don't think any of us will ever get tired of eviscerating ships with her spinal laser and there are rich pickings to be had in this sector. So it looks like its a pirates life for me ahahah.
