Starting Loadout:

• Marine: Crash or Vegas, either of the tech marines works
  
• First Item: Flamethrower
  
• Second Item: Grenade launcher or PDW's
  
• Extra: Smart bomb or hornet barrage

If you've got a second player, I would recommend:

• Marine: Wildcat, she has speed and damage bonuses
  
• First Item: The basic autogun, the upgraded one you unlock later takes too long to fire
  
• Second Item: Ammo satchel or PDW's
  
• Extra: Adrenaline

To start off you'll want to run around to the left and up that side of the map, using the rockets spread out between the start and reaching the jet thrusters. Be sure to save the last set of rockets for as you pick up the jet thrusters, and use them just before to ensure you can get out unharmed.
If you have a partner, they need to cover you for a second as you turn off, then they have to continue on to the gate that you will open for that and stand position there.

After picking up the jets, walk into the upper right corner of the platform and point your mouse all the way into the top right of the screen, then use the jets.

After that jump, you'll want to run to just outside of the door to the building. Aim the tip of the crosshair at the middle left of the hack machine, just a little bit inwards of the edge of the keyboard, and you will jet onto the top of the hack machine. If you press your character up against the wall in the middle of the machine, the bugs can't hit you at all. (I'll add a picture of exactly where to click later)
You and your partner should work out timing for use of the adrenaline while you hack the machine to allow faster time hacking.

When you've finished the hack, point your mouse slightly to the right of the tube running upwards off of the screen and use the jets. You'll get used to where to aim over time... to be able to jump directly over to the bridge button.
Your partner can now move through this gate, and meet you up near the shield bug.

Press the button and wait for the bridge to lower... allowing you to set off the explosives. You shouldn't need to fire a single shot until after this part.

After you set off the explosives, aim your mouse up in the upper right hand corner on the visible ground by the pipe. Repeatedly press your jet thruster key as the shield bug pushes through the barrier to allow you to jump past it. You may need to defend yourself left and quickly aim the jump during this.
If your partner can defend the left part of the area, you won't need to worry about that while making the jump mentioned above. Your partner can simply walk around the shield bug after you jump and it pops out.


From here, go up and open the fence, grab ammo, etc... and start running out over the bridge. You'll want to run ahead and clear the aliens with your flamethrower and grenade launcher to save Bloodhound (The ship) time used up by firing its guns. This will save you about 1-2 seconds on your finish time.
Note: Your partner can also use adrenaline for you on the fence hack, although it's only a simple, small hack.


Pretty much just run fast and gun hard. Time your walk across the top of the ship so that you don't get stuck on the invisible wall, losing about a second of time. You can use your final jet thrust to hop into the finishing room from the ramp.

If you've got a second player, I would recommend:

• Marine: Wildcat, she has speed and damage bonuses
  
• First Item: The basic autogun, the upgraded one you unlock later takes too long to fire
  
• Second Item: Ammo satchel
  
• Extra: Freeze grenades or maybe hornet barrage

To start out, run along the obvious path upwards, flaming whatever is in your path lightly (It will die on its own). When you reach the corner with the jet thrusters in the room above, throw a freeze grenade on the three legged bug and one behind you down the path you came from, and then grab the jets.

After grabbing the jets, you can aim to the other side of the wall above you and jet onto the platform over there... the farther you jet initially the less distance you have to walk later. When you reach the door, this is where it gets tricky.

You need to place your character with his/her head slightly to the left of the line down the door, and point the middle dot of your mouse in the inner bottom corner of the O in CONTR"O"L. Tap the use button repeatedly and move your pointer around that little area... you'll find the sweet spot eventually. From here, move up and left and activate the reactor power.. grab whatever ammunition and healing you need. After you activate the power, your partner should be at the other door ready to open it. When the power is turned on by you, they can open that door and proceed through around to the final area.

To get out of the room that you are in, go down and be sure the glass is broken in the left window of the room, then back up to the other side of the big generator. Put the middle of your pointer at the base of the window and activate the jets, allowing you to walk out the window. From here, go up and repeat the process to get on top of the door again. After you're on top, carefully go over to the right and walk to the right on the roof of the map.


Have your partner walk around and activate the door opening, then just camp out. Set up your sentry gun on the roof for cover, or fire your own guns to help out. Have fun on this part :D



After the door is open, they can walk in and you can stand at the edge of the roof to finish the level (or drop in if you like). If you're playing alone, skip the door opening and just go straight to the finish!
