Introduction
This is a complete guide about bossfights, weapons, armor (and their set bonusses), implants, side quests and achievements you can gather throughout the game.

The first part is about boss fights and how to get the better loot from doing hardcore kills on those bosses.
In all cases it's better to go for the hardcore kill instead of the normal kill. It will always give the better rewards. If you want to collect the normal versions of the weapons, there is always a way to obtain them in "New Game+" mode from either the bosses or sometimes even normal enemies.
Boss Fights (Main Game)
P.A.X.
Normal kill loot: P.A.X Imperator, Vital Boost v.3
Hardcore kill loot: P.A.X. Imperator V2.0
How to unlock: Keep hitting the legs until the boss drops down. When it is down keep using combos on the boss to take down its health. When the boss is dashing away , wait a little moment until it starts to shoot rockets. Make sure to evade all rockets and make sure the rockets don't hit the boss. The trick to get the hardcore loot is to have the rockets NOT hitting the boss at all.

LU-74 "Firebug"
Normal kill loot: Firebug Throttle
Hardcore kill loot: Firebug Throttle V2.0
How to unlock: Chop off all legs during battle, even at the moment he starts flying. At that time he has 2 front legs he uses as arms and 1 leg tail. Just get close enough to the legs and lure the boss into melee attacking you. Then chop off the leg. If you forget a leg you wont get the V2.0 weapon.

Big SISTER 1/3
Normal kill loot: Spitfire Rod
Hardcore kill loot: Spitfire Rod V2.0
How to unlock: Kill the big arms during phase 1 as normal. In phase 2 go for the head immediately and dont attack any of the torches, try to dash trough to go straight for the head.

The Black Cerberus
Normal kill loot: MG Judge (you can get this weapon later from normal enemies)
Hardcore kill loot: MG Judge V2.0 + Full Black Cerberus armor set
How to unlock: During the P.A.X. phace, let P.A.X. shoot rockets at the 2 "fuel containers", destroy both fuel containers and you get all armor schematics. When finishing off Cerberus, make sure to cut off his arm to get his weapon V2.0.

Rogue Process
Normal kill loot: Mimetic Edge (you can get this weapon in New Game + from normal enemies)
Hardcore kill loot: Claws of the Gestalt
How to unlock: At phase 2 simply cut off the arm to get the better weapon.
Boss Fights (A Walk in the Park DLC)
Squad Chief Helvig
Normal kill loot: S&R Kingfisher (you can get this weapon later in the DLC from normal enemies)
Hardcore kill loot: Helvig's Kingfisher
How to unlock: Simply cut off his arm

Carbon Cat
Normal kill loot: Scrapglaive of the Cat
Hardcore kill loot: Scrapglaive of the Cat v2.0
How to unlock: Defeat Carbon Cat while wearing the IRONMAUS Gear set. To get the IRONMAUS Gear you have to go to Central Production B. There is a vending machine close to the 2 security guards there (near the big door that leads to "Research & Development"). You need a total of 5 Shining Coins (dropped by Smelter Bots) to get the full set. To get all 5 coins you need to kill all 5 Smelting Bots in the base game areas.
Boss Fights (The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented DLC)
The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented DLC works a bit different from normal boss fights. For example you need to repeat the missions at least 5 times to get all gear unlocked. Also the bosses can carry 2 different weapons (1 each round), so you need to cut off the arm in 2 rounds to get all weapons on normal + 2 rounds for the hardcore kill weapons. To get hardcore mode turned on, you need to turn on modifiers, with 4 modifiers turned on you get the most chance on the better loot

Totem Wolf
Normal kill loot: Tamahaac, Pattern 20XX Infantry Rifle, Spirit Animal armor pieces.
Hardcore kill loot: Tamahaac DX, Pattern 20XX Infantry Rifle, Westwolf armor pieces.
How to unlock: Simply cut off the arm for arm piece + weapon, or cut off the armor part you need. Repeat the mission to get all armor pieces and weapons

La Muerte
Normal kill loot: Grim Ravager, B0-W1E Twin Blades, Angel of Death armor pieces.
Hardcore kill loot: Grim Marauder, B0-W1E Twin Blades - Deluxe Edition, Grim Fashion armor pieces.
How to unlock: Simply cut off the arm for arm piece + weapon, or cut off the armor part you need.

Undertaker
Normal kill loot: RIP (Rest in Pieces), Grim Ravager, Stealthy Assassin armor pieces.
Hardcore kill loot: RIP - Special Edition, Grim Marauder ,Secret Assassin armor pieces.
How to unlock: Simply cut off the arm for arm piece + weapon, or cut off the armor part you need.

Some important notes on the DLC
- To get hardcore mode, you need to turn on at least 1 modifier, with 4 modifiers turned on you get a garanteed drop of better loot on the bosses. Both armor and weapon.
- You can also unlock a "gold" version of the 5 new weapons by finishing all of the modifier challenges.
- Turning on more modifiers will also give you different loot, like cowboy hats, boots, etc.
- At the end of every episode there is a vault with an implant in it. Some of the later implants like the one in episode 6 till 8 are really great.
- The "LEECH" modifier is one of the few modifiers that actually makes the rounds easier in stead of harder, because you heal yourself while hitting enemies.
- Some modifiers will also give some really good implants at the end of the match to collect.
- All modifier challenges + episodes + bosses can be repeated, so you can collect as many rewards as you like (expecially helpful on implants).

Implants and Rigs
There are all sorts of implants you can get throughout the game. Some may give more health, stamina, energy, damage or other effects like healing, slowing time, etc.
The best part is that you can stack implant stats, for example:
Carry 2 x "Aggression Amplifier v.4" and every execution kill will restore 80% of your health (free heals).
Carry 2 x "Rig Capacitor XXL" and your energy will never decay, so you can save up all energy for those executions.
However you will need to level up your core power alot to carry all those implants, else you wont have the "Core Energy" to carry your implants + gear. Which will ask for alot of farming that precious scrap.

Some extra advice
- Exploration. Always explore older areas after unlocking ways to open doors/safes you could not open before. Either by missing the right power level, missing the Security Rig (for opening security doors) or because of missing the drone upgrade from Dr. Chavez. Try to look in every corner, but also look up and down alot. Some items are hidden below you where you need to jump off platforms and such. Also some items/secrets are hiding inside destroyable objects or destoyable walls.

- Before a bossfight always back up your savegames. So you can restore them in case you fail on doing the hardcore kill. A great tool for backing up and restoring savegames is Gamesave Manager. You can get it from here: https://www.gamesave-manager.com/

- Always try do do finishing moves on enemies. This way you collect (broken) gear pieces that you can use inside your crafting station. You either get a gear schematic (first time you aquire the gear) or componants to craft/upgrade gear. So keep collecting, because you will need it!

- Farm and store scrap (at Medbay) as much as you can. If you die all scrap stored will remain in medbay for you to use. You need scrap to craft/upgrade gear and weapons, but also to to level up your power core level.

- Power core level. At later parts in the game you get better Rigs that can carry more implants. Implats, but also gear require "Core Power". Best advice is to farm scrap and upgrade your core fast. You also need core power to open locked safes that contain "Nano Cores". These are used to upgrade your gear and weapons to max level. If you want to use a full set of max level implants, you may need a core power of 300+. So keep that in mind and grind.
There are enough youtube videos on how to farm alot of scrap.

- And most of all... try to enjoy the game!

Are you sure you unlocked every single achievement in the game, especially the bos battle ones?

Hello! i got all the achivements of the "basic" game (no DLC) but "the surge" achivement is not popping up, have you seen this issue?

Trust me, when you get more skilled, the game is actually fun to play! But some parts are extremely frustrating I agree. I hope we get The Surge 3 some day soon!

Normal kill loot: Spitfire Rod
Hardcore kill loot: Spitfire Rod V2.0
How to unlock: Kill the big arms during phase 1 as normal. In phase 2 go for the head immediately and dont attack any of the torches, try to dash trough to go straight for the head.[/quote]

I just beat this boss, and I can confirm that keeping alive just 2 torches is enough to get Spitfire Rod v2. It's better to kill 2 torches closer to the head though.

Great guide, it's missing the Concussive, Velocity, and Endurance arrays as well as Plasmic Array v.4 though
