To guarantee it, depending on how far in you are/have Titantite or Infusions to spare, I would farm out 14,000 (maybe at Iron Keep or anywhere good for Soul farming) & spend it all in "one go" to see. If that doesn't work... then I am not too sure. In theory, that should work though.
Other than that, I am not too sure. Ideally, it will randomly sync up & unlock for you. Worst case is try maxing out another Covenant?
BTW if anyone wants to play offline, you can pull your ethernet on the "Press Start", wait for the game to tell you you're in offline mode, then put your ethernet back and you can be offline and still earn the achievements. But I guess everyone knows that already.
I had it happen to me in DSR with Gravelord Nito. My net went out as I was fighting him, so the achievement didn't pop and I had to get it in NG+. Very annoying.
It is SUPER frustrating though, the same thing happened to me with Brightstone Bonfire Achievement on my first playthrough. A lot of games have that "feature" of not having Achievements unlock if your offline... lucky us.
