Timothy Ebarb said this "Go into 'my games' - 'Sid Meier's Civilization 5' - 'cache' and there should be 5 files at the top which look something like Civ5wordDatabase. (I use mods so idk if the mods ones are there for other people but they should be). Delete these 5 files. The only noticeable change for me is that the game doesn't remember which mods I had selected before but that's not really a problem."
