Unfortunately, there are too few who understand this, and ridiculous is that even some of them are / or were suspected of being "cheaters". However I would have expected that you, and other senior players, to be among the first to fight against this tendency to spoil a game that has already been done very well from the beginning.

For your effort to keep SE alive, you have all my appreciation. I understand that you did not have any bad intention, but my opinion is that:
1. if Rebellion should be considered it necessary, would release upgrades / patches for the SE v1 and v2 which would be officially announced and that everyone would install them,
2. those who use this "extra" / semi-official mode, even if they are many, are at borderline,
3. every unofficial / semi-official "improvement" ;) does nothing but to ruin and to deviate from the basic idea and spirit of the game.

My profile is set to "private" only for those who are not on my friends list. I spent a lot of time playing SE v1 and v2 "single player" and enough time in the past (less than some and more than others) playing SE v2 "multiplayer", so, although lately I play rarely due to lack of time, I am still interested in what happens in / and with this game.

As for cheating etc: on Sniper Elite V2.....I don't allow any Cheats/Mods on our Server whatsoever!..anyone who is considered to be a cheat will be kicked, no exceptions. Sniper Elite online can be an emotical and frustrating game at times. I will not be going through all the same hassle I went through on Sniper Elite 1. In saying that I belive it is allot difficult to prove who is actually running cheats on V2 compared to SE1. I belive a game is best played in it's 'out of box' state with no hacks/cheats/mods. This is how I have ran my V2 Server from day One and will continue to do so. If V2 becomes that much fucked-up with cheats I will just close it down.

I have played this game for many years ( without ) any 'mods', I can 'ASSURE YOU' I don't or didn't 'NEED' any help with any software to become a good player at this game? I first tried this mod when I became aware that Sniper Elite V2 was coming out..why then? because 'at that time' IMO the game was becoming 'fucked-up' with the amount of players who were running 'aimbot' and 'wallhacks and of course Mods..we needed to do something to keep the game alive and enjoyable So I had taken the conscious desicion to allow, and accept players on my Server to run 'mods only' Anyone we considered who was Running an 'Aimbot or wallhack' was kicked from the game Straight away....If, we were to kick 'ALL' players from the game who ran mods (scope, hud, etc:) how many people would have been playing the game?...excatly not too many!, you would have been playing by yourself? or finding it difficult to get a game.....

When there is NO! Appropiate Anti-cheat system in place to control the game, all we have to reply on is players playing honestly?...when the game is blatantly overrun with players using cheats and mods then all we can do is make the best out of a bad situation, if that includes letting some use simple Mods that don't alter the pysics of the game or gives away a players location just so that we can continue playing a game that we love Sooooo! Much then so be it? Should we all Stop playing the game because someone is using a Mod?..No chance.

Don't be trying to lecture me on Principles....It's people like me and other clans who kept Sniper Elite alive until the servers were closed due to SEV2 coming out?. I hate cheaters, cheaters who use aimbots etc: to get an advantage over other players...these people just don't know how to play the game and are useless snipers who have to use these cheats to make themselves out to be great Snipers? Mods don't do this..Cheats such as Aimbots and wallhacks do...

When I first tried this scope I only used the scope for a short period ( few days, if i recall ) and reverted back to the normal scope as I felt it pointless and made no difference.to the overall game. Recently I was made aware that SE1 could be played again on Gameranger ( boy! was I so excited :) I was sent this scope along with SE1 Map packs.....'Map packs' which is another mod for the game that allows the single player maps to be played online...( another cheat?...or someone making a mod to better the game? )... I installed these maps and the scope together and recorded some gameplay which is what you are viewing above...is it cheating in the sense that I get more kills NO!.

In the above video this scope doesn't help kill a player in One Shot.. thats the work of an aimbot...are you confusing the scope with aimbot? In the video i have missed many shots as you can see.....Playing terrible BTW :(


just checked your profile to see if you have SE1..notice though that it's private??....how long have you been playing Sniper Elite for?

The game is based ONLY on INDIVIDUAL SKILLS of the players and not on the additional software or on "special" settings. The true "sniper elite" players, did not need any extra help because they have the skills required to achieve performance.
It seems that some people have very different "principles", or they have none. :D
