Should you try out Omno Prologue?  Let's discuss that in today's Hot Or Not - OMNO edition!

Omno is an upcoming single player game by Jonas Manke and Studio Inkyfox

As always, lets start with the HOT!

The game is free to try right now, though it is currently just the prologue.  The main game is slated to be launching in Spring of 2021.

First off, I really liked the looks of the game.  I like the, muted pastel like colours of the game, especially the purples and verdant greens.

I really like the chill atmosphere of the game.  Instead of smashing, stomping, or jumping on top of baddies, there are no deaths in the game and no death penalties if you fall down.  You just pick yourself up and get back at it.

I enjoyed the dash mechanic.  I wasn't sold on it at first, and dashing instead of jumping across platforms and stones felt a little counter intuitive - but I got used to it.  Cool mechanic.

Overall, this game has a LOT of potential, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

NOT

Didn't see a way to adjust the graphic settings.  I have a fast computer, but could see how that could be a problem for some with slower computers.

Another thing that could use a little work is the camera angles.  I found myself looking one way and dashing the other, something that no doubt is partly my fault.

Lastly, I felt the puzzle to be a bit too easy, however this is just the first puzzle in the prologue, and they no doubt get more complex and intricate as you explore further into the game.

All in all I think this a great free demo to run through and give a shot.  Let me know what you think of the game in the comments below!
