Thanks. I was hoping to disable just the gunshots and explosions rather than all the ambiance.
I found a couple of the battle sound files (1519377.wem & 274691610.wem) but not the one AnLao uses. Then in the map's Scene list I found and deleted AkAmbientSound_89 and 90 :)

Go into kismet, look for the action box with Start AkAmbientSounds, delete or disable.

Cheers. Had the same result on the custom map I was trying to modify but I seem to have done it successfully on a stock map.

BTW do you know how to disable the ambient (repetitive) fake-battle SFX on the maps? I'm not a fan of that in multiplayer games, it just masks and distracts from the actual (important) combat sounds.

Be sure not to move any meshes at all if you just wanna change helispawns, that will require the light to be rebuilt. Make sure save 'current level' as well before publishing.

Thanks. I got the SDK working, copied a map and successfully swapped a helicopter. But now the terrain & sky textures are missing, first it said the paths had to be rebuilt then the lighting.
When I try publishing the map (instead of just saving) the SDK hangs on the "Execution of commandlet took..." command line. When I try building the map it fails at the lighting stage. Did you have these issues?

How difficult is it to add/swap helicopters on maps?
The SDK just crashes when I try to run it.

@Snazz.
No the original map is only one single roe file, unlike other ones with FX, SND, and EVN packages... I basically took a copy of the 1.3gb one, and it somehow reduced to 588mb. Typically this happens when you cook an unpublished map to published.

I'm guessing from the much smaller file size (588 vs 1377 mb) that it reads from the original map .roe?

I like the idea of this series. Particularly the addition of the Loach, expanded flyable area and increased draw distance. Looking forward to a redux of the other big helo maps (An Lao, Song Be, Forrest).
