Thanks Raven T[www.pinterest.se] for the map!

I devided the map in to three parts.

Basic crafting
Basically everything you craft requires you to ALTER them in different ways and you need to be able to switch hand so you need to evolve that first.

BASALT CHOPPER
Hit Basalt with any rock.

GRANITE GRINDER
Hit Granite with any rock.

OBSIDIAN SCRAPER
Hit Obsidian with any rock.

STICK
1, Take a Dead Branch with your bare hand and alter/stripp to discover the stick.
2, Hit a Dead Branch with any rock to make it a stick.

SHARPENED STICK
Hit a Dead Branch with a rock, Basalt Chopper, or a Obsidian Scraper.

NATAL GRASS CYCAD´S STEM
Take Natal grass with your bare hand and alter/stripp to discover the natal grass cycad’s stem.

BRANCH BARRIER
Collect some dead branches and pile them up together.
Stand near to that pile and you will see a construct option.

SLEEP SPOT
Collect some natal grass and pile them up together.
Stand near to that pile and you will see a construct option.

That is just the basics to get you going and start unlocking some neurons!

Evolution
The ideal evolution leap would be a clan with 6 elders and 6 adults, all or most of them with active spontaneous mutations to be made permanent when you evolve.
  • The Missing Links
    Starting at 10,000,000 years
    (Starting species)

  • Sahelanthropus Tchadensis "Toumai"

  • Ardipithecus Ramidus "Ardi"
    Unlocked at around 5,300,000 years

  • Australopithecus Afarensis "Lucy"
    Unlocked at around 3,000,000 years

    Unlocked at 2,000,000 years
    (Ending, Unplayable species)
Tips & Tricks
If you are finding it hard to advance in the game, here is some helpful tips and tricks you can do to kickstart your evolution.

  • Always have two kids on your ape-man, this allows you to get more neuronal energy from everything you do.

  • Always travel with a SHARPENED STICK in your main hand and a BASALT CHOPPER in your off hand, this make survival from animal attacks easier and saves a ton of time if you need to quickly make a new SHARPENED STICK.

  • A STICK or a DEAD BRANCH can be used as a weapon to defend against wild animals, it can also kill animals but they do less damage than a SHARPENED STICK.

  • If you want quick MOTORICITY walk in water back and forward, this will help you unlock motricity skills quicker.

  • When you are in Intelligence mode, ALWAYS stand up, this will give you a further vision, smell, hearing range and give you neuronal energy.

  • Always activate Intelligence mode every 200m and LOOK, SMELL, HEAR everything to give you more neuronal energy and unlocking skills in your SENSE tree.

  • When passing a generation, you will have the former elders bones still in your settlement, always go and ANALYZE the bones to get neuronal energy.

  • When visiting a METEORITE SITE, you should have six kids with you, three adults carrying two kids each. When you INSPECT the METEORITE, you will get one extra reinforcement point per kid.

  • Build a Sleep Spot in the vicinity of the crater, hold the METEORITE in one hand, and then use the DROP CHILD action at the sleep spot. This will give all of the baby’s genetic mutations.

  • First thing to do after passing a generation is to breed more kids, always couple up and mate so you have the maximum of six kids right in the beginning, this can prevent your extinction if any of your adults die for some reason.
(KIDS CAN NOT ALL HAVE THE SAME FATHER/MOTHER)

  • When in a FEAR area you need to go in Intelligence mode and look, smell and hear everything until you get the CONQUER YOUR FEAR bar at the left filled up, then you walk towards the bright white light until you can press button and CONQUER YOUR FEAR this will allow your clans expansion and give you more neuronal energy.

  • ELDERS do not fear anything and can not be used to activate CONQUER YOUR FEAR, they are only good for scouting since it does not really matter if they die.

  • Spontaneous mutations are only activated if you EVOLVE and if the mutation is stuck on an ADULT or ELDER, kids will have a 50/50 chance of being born with a mutation but they need to become adults for you to activate them thru evolution, If not the mutation will die off with the adult/elder that is carrying it.

  • Lost mutations can return in later generations, so if you lose a mutation its not the end.

  • Try to travel in a pack and let every clan member have a SHARPENED STICK in the main hand, this will make them able to survive from animal attacks easier. These tips will need you to get some skills in COMMUNICATION gens.

  • Always travel with the whole clan if you set out to resettle, otherwise the ones in your current settlement will still be there and will likely die off. (No teleportation of clan members that is not with you)

  • If you walked far and don’t want to walk all the way home, seek out a FEAR zone (non claimed land) and walk straight in to it until your ape-man gets hysterical, You and your pack will then get automatically teleported back to your settlement, and you will still have the stuff in your hands.

Look underneath all of the rocks that you can lift. At some point you should be able to find a precious gem and this will help give you courage if you're carrying it. It will let you stay in undiscovered areas/zones for longer.

Also, I found that a good way to grind is just keep coupling, mating, and generation leaping until you either have the desired mutation or enough remains to last you a lifetime.

Natal grass also once altered become a small stick. You can dip that little piece of wood into a beehive and get their honey. Honey protects vs poisoning.

...break your legs often because you try to swing from leaves to leaves. Don't give up, but stack up a bit of bone armor (horsetail, redleaves). Next time you hit the ground too hard, it might save you a broken limb.

Even though you know by looking at the food if it's good or not (like a change of color, etc..), you should always inspect what you are about to eat for free points.
Apex Predator
Here is what you need for the Apex Predator achievement
Predator
Biome
Thorbjarnarson’s Crocodile
Jungle, Lake, Woodlands
"The Thorbjarnarson's Crocodile is found near swampy areas or water sources. They have dark green coloring and blend in well. They are very aggressive hunters and seek out prey of all sizes."
Hyena
Woodlands, Savannah
"The Hyena is a medium small animal that can appear alone but more often than not in a pack. Don't let their size fool you! Care should be taken if you decide to engage in combat with one of these animals as you may be swarmed by a pack of them from all sides."
Black-Backed Jackal
Savannah, Canyon
"The Black-Backed Jackal is a relatively small animal that can appear alone but more often than not in a small pack. Don't let their size fool you! Care should be taken if you decide to engage in combat with one of these animals as you may be swarmed by a pack of them from all sides."
Golden Machairodus
Lake, Woodlands, Savannah, Ocean, Jungle, Canyon
"The Golden Machairodus will spawn but will not have a lair.
They'll wander randomly.
After your first evolution leap, a Machairodus starts to stalk you. It is this behavior vs local Machiaroduses that gives it the unofficial name of the 'stalker cat'. This stalker cat can attack at any time - even inside an oasis. The stalker cat is randomly one of the three Machairodus varieties"
Black Machairodus
Lake, Woodlands, Savannah, Ocean
"The Black Machairodus will spawn with a territory centering around a lair usually identifiable by the presence of at least one pile of bones on the ground. They'll wander their territory periodically and sleep/rest at their lair."
White Machairodus
Woodlands, Savannah, Ocean
"The White Machairodus only spawns as a Stalker Cat with no lair."
Bateleur Eagle
Jungle, Ocean
"The eagle is only encountered in limited areas. High up places in the trees, on certain cliff sides, and tall pinnacles of rock. Also, if you see a nest with Bateleur Eagle Eggs, you need to be very aware that an eagle isn't very far away."
Miocene Pelican
Ocean
"The pelican is only encountered in limited areas. High up places, on certain cliff sides, tall pinnacles of rock, and on the beach in the Ocean biome. Also, if you see a nest with Miocene Pelican Eggs, you need to be very aware that a pelican isn't very far away."

I can't remember if this is in the guide or not but you can kill small animals such as, Black Mambas, Green Snake, Jackals, small animals like that with your bare hands.

My tactic, go everywhere with everyone and hold sharp stick and keep using the sticks you made with your clan to just assault everything like evil monkeys may do >:) ( Not effective in the first 2 to 3 generations, so take this time to explore with a pair of babies and have fun. Come back to your settlement and make sticks with everyone when you unlock the neurons for switching hands and altering items and the ability for your clan to mimic your actions.)

Since a couple others mentioned it I wanna clarify - the stalker cat does spawn in your first evolution (the missing links), it just doesn't spawn until AFTER your first GENERATION leap.

Apologies if anything I said has already been mentioned, I didn't bother to check :demoticon:

-Don't eat:
-The fungus bugs (in caves)
-The mushrooms with thin, long stalks and small caps (also in caves)
-Anything you aren't supposed to until you are an omnivore
-Do eat:
-Meat (as omnivore, plentiful after a hunt)
-Pink flowers (healthy yum yums!)
-Cocos and eggs (eggs as omnivore, grouped because you can find both food and water from both)

Happy monkeying.

Gonna put all my knowledge here before I 100% the game.

-As long as you keep moving, you will usually live.
-If something attacks you, don't run. Or at least not too far. If you can, climb a tree to look for branches. Any will do. If you can't, find a rock. Always fight back, because it will help you more in the long run than running.
-Be patient. You will probably grind to beat the game, at least a bit. Remember the feeling of completion.
-All creatures that will fight you, in any circumstance, can be killed and should be killed.
-Do not try to beat the game quickly. Enjoy it. You will miss it once you're done, or at least I will.
-If you are reading this, you are likely the kind of person who wants to know what they're doing. You don't need a guide to know what you're doing in this game. Monkey pick up rock. Monkey hit stick with rock. Monkey go kill elephant with stick.
