Yes, wallpaper engine consumes a lot of pc. I recommend that you activate the options (Settings),
- Another priority app: Pause
- Another maximized application: Pause
- Another application in full screen: Pause

I have it configured like this and at least that way it doesn't consume a pc while you're doing other things, while you're not looking at your desktop.

PS: You can not imagine the consumption that occupies when I am editing the Wallpapers, lol my pc is hell.

through only problem is my CPU temp went from 40°C to 80°C with just wallpaper engine running.
