So, you wanna get good at Dead Matter, huh? You just became a backer or you bought this in early access, or you finally got on the website before it crashed again, just to see that you don't have a key yet, and repeated the process until you finally got it and you wanna climb the ladder to the pro leagues? Just follow these simple steps.

This is only applicable in the first month of testing

1. Download Dead Matter
   
2. Keep waiting for it to finish downloading
   
3. Leave it overnight
   
4. Realize you forgot to start the download
   
5. Do step 1 again
   
6. Finally start playing Dead Matter
   
7. I'm still on step 2, so I don't know what happens next
   
8. Press Play Online
   
9. Find a server! Full ones can be dangerous for new time players, and they might have reduced loot.
   
10. If you cannot connect to a server and it's still loading, press Escape and try again
    
11. If that still does not work, close the game and open it again
    
12. Repeat step 8 and 9

Character Name
You can use your real name or a fake one, but I recommend a fake one
Character Data
You have a set number of perk points depending on what occupation you choose, and each comes with pros and cons. The perks are split into Traits, Hobbies, and Stats.

Entering the World
Once you spawn in, you'll probably be very lost and thats normal! Don't fear the atmospheric sounds as creepy as they are. When it get's dark then press L to turn on your flashlight.

Most cars don't do anything.
