Better Music
It is very simple to chnage the music in this game. Simply go to program files (x86)----Steam----SteamApps---Common----Sherlock Holmes The Mystery of the mummy----Level1 now look for a file named level1 (a wave file) select your favorite music and put into wave format rename it level1 and replace the file. Now you have much better music in the game. You will have to do this for each level 1 through 5.

I didn't want any music, so just renaming the file something the game wasn't looking for turned the music off.

did you make sure that the file was in a .WAV format?

I followed your advice, but made one simple change, I renamed the level1 file to something else, and when I ran the game, it had no music at all. This was important to me, because on my system the music was much louder than the voice audio.
