This guide will show you how to fix the "Failed to find Steam" error, allowing you to actually run Vegas: Make It Big.

Find the game's folder

Right click Vegas: Make It Big in your library, and then click "Properties..."

Click "Local Files" and then "Browse Local Files..."

Find and copy Steam.dll

If you have not installed Vegas in a custom library folder, or don't know what that means

Click "Steam" in the address bar of the window that pops up.

Find Steam.dll, select it by clicking it once, and press Control and C at the same time on your keyboard.

Press the back button in the top left corner of the window once, and then press Control and V at the same time on your keyboard. Steam.dll should now appear in the file list, and you should now be able to launch the game via Steam.

If the game is installed in a custom library folder

Go to the root of your library folder, two levels above "Vegas - Make It Big"

Find Steam.dll, select it by clicking it once, and press Control and C at the same time on your keyboard.
