If you have a pause key on your keyboard, it should be on the top right somewhere. It either says "pause" or it will have the pause symbol on it.

If you have a compact keyboard (aka laptop ♥♥♥♥) you can pause the game by pressing FN + right shift (for HP laptops), or one of the f1-12 keys (most other laptop brands.)
