Navigate to this folder:
C:\Users\*YourUserName*\AppData\Local\EA Games\Dead Space 3

Open general.txt
Add this line after the Control.MouseSensitivity setting:
control.MouseSmoothing = false
Unlock Framerate
You'll want to disable vsync and run the game in windowed fullscreen mode through the ingame settings

Next force vsync on through your graphics driver, this works well through the nVidia control panel I'm not sure about AMD

And I also had to change system.txt located in:
C:\Users\*YourUserName*\AppData\Local\EA Games\Dead Space 3

Make sure that:
Window.VSync = false

Enjoy the game!
It's baffling that these settings are so hidden, together they make the game so much better.

If you haven't played Dead Space 1 or 2 I wholeheartedly recommend you do so they're powerfully terrifying.

I still had this issue and also my partner's pc with the game had the same issue. The fix in this guide has solved it. Thanks.

Seems they did patch it but not for everyone.

For anyone still having mouse issues, I recommend turning the mouse sensitivity in game to 0. This doesn't eliminate the negative acceleration, but it improves it greatly to the point the game is actually playable for me.

vsync just off and i get about 580-650 fps, no need to go for nvidia settings or anything

mouse fix doesn't work for me. I tried everything. Even disabling vsync on my intel graphic specifying the game..

they must have patched the game because mine runs at the full 240fps without having to disable anything or mess with the game files.

you are literally forcing vsync through nvidia control panel though. so vsync is still on. i just turned off vsync and play in fullscreen. i wouldnt recommend messing around with settings.
