The (Almost) Definitive Guide for Hardcore Risette Fan
By Flair
Quite a few Hardcore Risette Fan guides were made back in the days when Persona 4 Golden was only on the Vita. Many of them have errors that will not be fixed or updated, and the PC version has some changes that make getting this achievement easier. This guide will not be without fault, but I will commit to keep this guide as updated and concise as possible.

TLDR
Use this spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pArkJHXT50T_0L2RWjEf2E-KiPpYT1i0/view

I made it based on a spreadsheet I found on Reddit.

But I fixed many things such as the inclusion of the rage row, the inclusion of rows for how many enemies are left, etc. Also, I have included cells that automatically count the number of lines entered in each column to tally them into a sum.

Also, there will be spoilers. If this game is your first Persona game and you are going in blind and want to play and grind with every character, that is your best chance to get this achievement without worrying about it.
What counts as a navigation line from Rise?
A navigation line must satisfy the following:

  1. The line must appear in a text box on the top left corner with a bespectacled Rise icon.
  2. Rise must voice the line.
  3. The line must appear during combat.

All other lines do not count. July 12th is the first day when you can start hunting for her navigation lines.

If it helps, turn off the voice lines so you do not get confused. (2) is not very important so as long as you pay attention to (1) and (3).
General Advice
If you know what you are doing, you can get this achievement before getting Naoto. I got 243 lines before getting Naoto on my first PC playthrough while being overleveled without Clear Data. I did not take a single step in Heaven before getting 251 lines. I will assume you understand the combat system. If you do not, I advise just going into this game blind to get the achievement. Nevertheless,
  1. Most lines can efficiently be obtained if you know the team compositions of shadows in each dungeon. Some enemies (and thus some enemy team compositions) only show up during rainy days; conversely, some enemies and some enemy team compositions are plentiful on non-rainy days.
  2. RNG is a fickle beast. Some enemies may only show up on the 100th encounter. Some lines are more likely to trigger during certain events, events that occur while you are escaping may not trigger certain lines as Rise say some escape lines, some lines simply may never show up before you get 250, etc.
  3. Keeping in mind (1) and (2), so as long as you can buy at least Firecracker (x20), San-zun Tama (x50), Ice Cube (x20), Dry Ice (x50), Ball Lightning (x20), Pinwheel (x20), Yashichi (x50) at least, you can always get 250 Rise's navigation lines no matter how overleveled you are at any point after obtaining Rise as a party member as so as long as you can still enter the dungeons and have all team members. Of course, it is easier the earlier you start, and the later you start the more painful the grind will be. But using the fixed damage items to guarantee about 100 lines, allows making for 150 other lines possible at almost any point of the game.
  4. Guarding protects you from instakills, knockdowns, and status ailments. Do not use guard to stall for turns unless you want to protect a particular character from the aforementioned harms. In such stall situations, have numerous nondamaging, insignificant items like TaP sodas or SP spells that you can continuously use without killing the shadows. The exception to this rule is stalling for Debilitate; Debilitate will affect your party member even if they are guarding.
  5. Never press the SOS button. Getting help can stop Rise from saying her lines that she would say during the start of the battle.
  6. There are three lines you can only obtain if you are underleveled compared to the shadows you are fighting, but I do not recommend being underleveled unless you are on Clear Data with an overpowered Persona from the beginning. In the overworld, shadows are easier to dodge if you are not underleveled, you have an easier time controlling your team's and the shadows' health while being not underleveled, and you only need 250 lines. Being underleveled can hinder your ability to get other lines from other categories.
  7. When grinding for the lines, minimizing your teammates' Social Link Rank minimizes the RNG for the navigation lines. (3) is still possible at any rank, but having everyone at max rank makes getting from double digit number to 250 lines more arduous. Attempting to do the lines with Rise's Social Link at 7 or above will cause Rise to do other things besides say lines! Less importantly, if any teammate is at or above Rank 3, they unlock their follow-up attack, and a follow-up attack causes Rise to say a more generic line for knockdowns.

Recommended Configs

On the PC port, you can change these settings without clear data. The most important setting is
Money won. You always want this to be set to More. Having money allows you to buy fixed damage elemental items and to pay the fox to keep you in the dungeons.

You can change the damage settings depending on how you want your team's health to look like.

Keeping in mind (6) from General Advice, being overleveled generally makes your team faster than the enemies which in turn make your team dodge more and escape faster. If you are still looking for lines for escaping, getting your teammates knockdowned, and status ailments, I recommend setting Exp won to Less if you find yourself approaching 5-10 levels above the dungeon you are grinding.

If you want to go for the underleveled navigation lines, set Exp won to Less from the beginning of the game, but to compensate for your levels, set Damage taken to Less and set Damage given to Great.
Analysis Shuffle Technique
On your combat menu, there is an option called Analysis.

Use it to analyze an enemy.

Then back out with Cancel button which is C on the keyboard.

Rinse and repeat. By redoing this action, Rise may say a line about how many enemies are left, a party member's status, etc.

This technique is essential for getting certain lines. For a given Lines section, assume you can get all lines that section via this technique unless I say otherwise. All lines you can obtain via this technique are not time-sensitive to any social link or event.
Lines
We are now leaving the short version of the guide. The Lines section guides have some lines (almost) verbatim, how to get certain category of lines, and a word of caution involved with certain categories. It is not essential to keep track of Rise's navigation lines verbatim, but it is absolutely imperative that you can distinguish what you hear now from what you heard before. Some differences between lines can be a single word. I have cross-referenced some of my lines from KADFC[gamefaqs.gamespot.com] in case I mispelled something. I will not cover every line. You only need 250 lines, and this guide aims to be definitive rather than comprehensive. Also, Steam censors certain words. Based on playthroughs I have seen online, Rise's navigation lines do not carry over to Clear Data nor do they accumulate between separate playthroughs.

For each side character, Rise has the same number of lines for each scenario. She has some special additional lines for the main character (MC) for certain scenarios, and for other scenarios, she has no lines for the MC while she has lines for the side characters for those scenarios.

I will not go over boss lines. They are few and far between. Besides, during a boss fight, most lines that would otherwise trigger in random shadow fights will not trigger ― the main exceptions being status ailment, critical health, KO, and special boss lines. That being said, none of the lines voiced by Rise during Teddie's and Mitsuo's boss fights count. Her text box is not in the top left.

I will keep the more pertinent Lines section guides closer to the top of the guide and have the less time-sensitive sections towards the bottom.
Lines: Shadows and Where to Find Them
For certain scenarios, some shadow team compositions are more efficient than others.

Enervation: Any enemy with Old One. For instance, Creation Relic. Marukyu Striptease - F1-4
Rage: Any enemy with Valiant Dance will do. For instance, Liberating Idol. Marukyu Striptease - F4-10
Silence: Any enemy with Foolish Whisper will do. For instance, Lustful Snake. Void Quest - F1-4
Tentarafoo: Any enemy with Tentarafoo. For instance, Opulent Hands. Secret Laboratory
Exhaustion: Any enemy with Anima Freeze will do. For instance, Constancy Relic. Secret Laboratory - B1-2
Poison: Any enemy with Poison Mist will do. For instance, Immoral Snake. Secret Laboratory - B6
Debuff: Any enemy with Debilitate will do. For instance, Mind Dice. Secret Laboratory - B6-8
Knockdown 4 and Kill 4 enemies (Rainy Day): Quadriple Rainbow Twins and a Raindrop Musha (Dry Ice) Secret Laboratory - B7. OR Quadriple Rainy Brothers 1 and a Raindrop Musha (Tesla Coil). Secret Laboratory - B6
Fear: Any enemy with Evil Smile will do.
Lines: Rise Social Link 1
Rise forms a Social Link automatically on July 23rd, though you can also get these lines starting from July 12th when she recovers. Keeping Rise at 1 is essential for getting most of the ambush X enemies, ambushed by X enemies lines, and fight X enemies lines. You cannot use the Analysis Shuffle Technique for this category.

Ambushed by 1
  • One enemy! I-It caught us off guard!?
  • Eek, an ambush! There's one enemy
Ambushed by 2
  • Two enemies ambushed you! Hold on!
  • Yikes, an ambush!? There are two enemies!
Ambushed by 3
  • Three enemies! They got the drop on you!
  • Be careful! Three enemies ambushed you!
Ambushed by 4
  • They caught you off guard!? Four enemies!
  • Enemy ambush! Four of ‘em!
Ambushed 1
  • There's one enemy! You get a free hit!
  • One enemy! Take your free hit!
Ambushed 2
  • There are two enemies! Go for a free hit!
  • Two enemies, but you have the advantage!
Ambushed 3
  • Three enemies! We have the initiative!
  • There's three enemies. They're totally open!
Ambushed 4
  • Four enemies! They're wiiide open!
  • There are four enemies! You get to go first!
Fight 1
  • There's one enemy! Hang in there!
  • One enemy on the field! You can do it!
Fight 2
  • Two enemies on the field! Crush 'em!
  • There are two enemies! Careful now!
Fight 3
  • Three enemies on the field! Be careful!
  • There are three enemies! Don't get cocky!
Fight 4
  • Four enemies on the field! Get psyched!
  • There's four enemies. Keep your guard up!

There are two lines each for ambushing 5 enemies, being ambushed by 5 enemies, and fighting 5 enemies. But 5 enemy compositions are rare and may not be worth it. You can still get a few of these lines after raising Rise's Social Link above 1, but that requires all of the enemies to have no weaknesses or resistances.
Lines: Before Rise's Persona is Level 70
When Rise's Persona levels up to 70, she learns Instant Escape which allows you to instantly escape any random encounter and also prevents you from gathering three lines.

  1. Okay! I'll look for an opening
  2. I know! I'm still looking
  3. Just hang on... I'll find you an opening!
  4. Now's your chance! RUN!
  5. No good, I can't find you an opening...

(1), (2), (3) depend on your inability to run away from a random encounter instantly. (1) occurs when you hit Escape but did not escape that turn which causes Escape to grayed out for the next party member; try to use the grayed out Escape option which triggers (2). (3) occurs if after two party members' turns, you still have not escaped. (4) occurs when you can escape instantly; you can hear the line when you escape after waiting awhile, but that may not count as the line does not show up in a text box in the top left.

(5) occurs if you hit Escape in a boss battle.

Beware that attempting to escaping can cause (1), (3), and (4) lines to be used instead of other lines if other events occur like a party member getting knocked down while Rise is finding an opening. You cannot use the Analysis Shuffle Technique here.
Lines: Rise Social Link 2
After gathering most, if not all, of the ambush, ambush by, and fight entrance lines, raise Rise's Social Link to 6. These lines can be obtained at Rank 2, but I advise raising her Social Link to 6 for extra abilities that will help you in this grind. These lines will only come up once as you enter a battle. For each, there are two lines. You cannot use Analysis Shuffle Technique for this category.

Weak to Physical
  • Sweet! It's weak to physical attacks!
  • Ooh, that one doesn't like physical attacks!
Immune to Physical
  • Careful, it's immune to physical attacks!
  • Look out, it's immune to physical attacks!
Weak to Fire
  • Hey, the enemy's weak to fire! That's hot.
  • That enemy's weak to fire! Keep it up!
Immune to Fire
  • Hm, watch it! That one's immune to fire!
  • Be careful, there's an enemy immune to fire!
Weak to Ice
  • That enemy's weak to ice! Cool it down!
  • Cool, there's an enemy weak to ice!
Immune to Ice
  • Whoa there! That one's immune to ice!
  • Be careful, there's an ice-immune enemy!
Weak to Elec
  • It's weak to electricity! Zap 'em!
  • Whoa, we got one weak to electricity!
Immune to Elec
  • Careful, it's immune to electricity!
  • Watch it, that one's immune to electricity!
Weak to Wind
  • Nice, there's an enemy weak to wind.
  • That enemy's weak to wind! Blow 'em away!
Immune to Wind
  • Looks like that one's immune to wind!
  • Careful, that one's immune to wind!
Weak to Light
  • It's weak to Light! Shine on!
  • Ah, there's an enemy weak to Light!
Immune to Light
  • Oh, be careful! Light's no good on this one!
  • Be careful, there's an enemy immune to Light!
Weak to Dark
  • The enemy's weak to Darkness! It's doomed!
  • Oho, so that one's weak to Darkness!
Immune to Dark
  • Oh, that's not good... Darkness won't work!
  • Uh-oh, that one's immune to Darkness!
Lines: Knockdown A Single Enemy
Unfortunately, Rise can say the same line when you knockdown a single enemy regardless if you hit its weakness, get a critical, and hit the enemy's weakness when it is down. There are a couple lines unique to each of the three aforementioned actions, but RNG makes getting all of the lines in this category not worthwhile. You cannot Analysis Shuffle for these lines.

MC
  • Enemy down! Nice move, Senpai!
  • You hit the enemy's weakness!

  • Awesome, Senpai! You really hit it hard!
  • Go, Senpai! You rock!
Yosuke
  • Huh? Yosuke-senpai? Are you getting up to speed?
  • Enemy down! That's the way, Yosuke-senpai!
  • You hit its weakness, Yosuke-senpai!
  • Y-Yosuke-senpai was... cool!? No way!
  • Wow, Yosuke-senpai! Out to steal the show, huh?
  • Way to go, Yosuke-senpai! You're on fire!
  • Hey, that was a pretty good hit!

  • You hit its weakness! Good move, Naoto-kun!
  • Way to go, Naoto-kun! You don't miss a trick!
  • Wow, Naoto-kun! You never lose your cool!
  • That looked like it hurt!
General
  • Critical hit!
  • Ooh! Very nice!
  • Enemy down!

If you get a General line, that means you are about to be asked to do a Follow-Up or All-Out attack.
Lines: Knockdown X enemies
In order to get these lines, you must knockdown X enemies all at once with one move without killing any of them. Unlike the previous section, the only RNG that affects this section is if an All-Out or Follow-Up attack will occur. This RNG can be minimized if you maintain all of your party members to Social Link 1. You may want to focus on Teddie first since his Social Link is dependent on the story. You cannot Analysis Shuffle for these lines.

MC
2. Two enemies down! Keep going, Senpai!
3. Three enemies down! You did it, Senpai!
4. Four enemies down! Brilliant, Senpai!

4.
General
2. Two enemies down!
3. Three enemies down!
4. Four enemies down!
Lines: Rush Mode
Htting Tab on the keyboard enters a Rush Mode which causes your party members to rush into basic physical attacks. During a single occurrence of Rush Mode, Rise may say:

  • Go get 'em! Go go go!
  • Beat it to a pulp! Keep going, guys!
  • Go for it, guys! Hang in there!

Beware that Rush Mode may prevent other navigation lines from coming up say if a party misses an enemy and slips during Rush Mode. You cannot use the Analysis Shuffle Technique here.
Lines: Kill 1 enemy
Each character have three lines for defeating a single enemy. The third line for each can be incredibly rare. Some of these lines may come up when you knockdown a single enemy. In order to get these lines, at least one other enemy must be alive and not down after the defeat. You cannot Analysis Shuffle for these lines.

MC
  • That's great, Senpai! You really get me going!
  • Go, Senpai! You rock!
  • Enemy defeated! You're off to a good start!
Yosuke
  • Enemy defeated! Keep it up, Yosuke-senpai!

  • I wasn't expecting that from you, Kanji! Sweet

  • Look at you, Teddie! You're rockin' it!
Naoto
  • Enemy defeated! Don't stop now, Naoto-kun!
  • Naoto-kun's busting heads and lookin' cool!
Lines: Kill X enemies
Like the previous section, at least one enemy must remain alive and not down after performing the action. You must kill X enemies all at once with one move. You cannot Analysis Shuffle these lines.

MC
2. You're on a roll, Senpai! Two defeated!
3. Three enemies defeated! You're so cool, Senpai!

4. Ooh, good job, Teddie! Four enemies defeated!
Naoto
2. Wow, Naoto-kun! You defeated two enemies!
3. Three enemies defeated! You did it, Naoto-kun!
4. That ruled, Naoto-kun! Four enemies defeated!
Lines: Reinforcements
After defeating a group of shadows, if there are any nearby shadows in the overworld, each shadow's group will come in as reinforcements. Each group size comes with two lines:

1
  • Another enemy appeared! One, to be exact!
  • One more on the enemy side! Hang in there!
2
  • Two reinforcements! On the enemy side!
  • Huh, more enemies!? Two, to be exact!
3
  • Three more on the enemy side! Keep it up!
  • What!? Again? Three more enemies for you!
4
  • Is this for real? Four new enemies
  • No way! Four more enemies are here

There are two lines for groups of 5, but they are few and far between. Nearby Golden Hands will never show up as reinforcements. You cannot Analysis Shuffle this section.

Lines: X Enemies Left
For X enemies on the field, Rise randomly may comment on the number of Shadows in battle. There are two lines for each group size:

1
  • Last one! Go for it!
  • One enemy to go! Keep it up!
2
  • Just two left! C'mon, this fight's not over!
  • Two enemies left! Don't lower your guard now!
3
  • Three of 'em! Don't give up now, okay?
  • Three enemies left! You can win this!
4
  • Four enemies left! Don't give up!
  • Four of them! You need to thin 'em out!
There are two lines for groups of 5, but they are few and far between.
Lines: Status Ailments
Remember, if you want a particular party member to receive a status ailment, do not use Guard. I will not list the Dizzy lines; you cannot reliably get every Dizzy line for a given playthrough. The MC has neither a rage or a fear escape navigation from Rise. For the fear escape line, you must wait for a feared party member to escape on their own from the battle. For MC's Panic line, you cannot use the Analysis Shuffle Technique.

Lines: Golden Hands
If you are short on money, you should only ever fight these anyway. Rise's Social Link does not affect these lines.
  1. Ooh, a rare one! Don't let it get away!
  2. Hey, it ran away! The nerve of that thing!
  3. What, more of them!? Gee!
  4. What's its problem!? More incoming!
  5. It's calling backup! Hurry and defeat it!
(1) occurs during the battle introduction. (2) occurs when a Golden Hand escapes. (3), (4), (5) occurs when the hand summons an additional enemy, though (5) seems tied to if 2 or more enemies have been summoned at once via Summon. (3), (4), (5) can also trigger for any other enemy type that uses the Summon move.

I always welcome any questions and constructive feedback.

@BigBoySTNE Yes it has to be a new sentence
BigBoySTNE 28 Apr @ 7:33am
does it need to be a new sentence? i thought its just about letting her say a sentence in a fight 250 times. Like right now iam battling the beautiful king enemy, he has a weakness to physical attack and it does only 6 damage, so i can hit him with everyone 2 times and he doesnt die fast and every time i hit rise says something in the left corner.

@obierodriguez07 I did witness someone getting this achievement in new game+. Nonetheless, I don't think lines are saved between new game plus cycles or different saves. The reason this guide is still titled "Almost" is because there are two different fully recorded walkthroughs that I have yet to battle test my spreadsheet on, but when I watch one of them, I believe they had to go through most of the game to get the achievement on new game plus.
obierodriguez07 19 Jan @ 6:50pm
One question, are the voice lines saved in a new save+?
Blinxwii 18 Jan, 2024 @ 4:37pm
@Flair, Oh, I didn't read your answer. But I already achieved the achievement, still thanks :3
Flair  [author] 16 Jan, 2024 @ 8:18pm
@Blinxwii I do not believe I ever had to worry about running away or the enemy escaping when I was collecting lines for the achievement. I believe they should still count since the achievement can pop up mid battle as well.
Blinxwii 16 Jan, 2024 @ 4:43pm
Thanks for the guide, one question. Can I escape from the battle after hearing the voice lines I wanted? Will those voice lines still count?
Basini 7 Jul, 2023 @ 5:32pm
I got this Achievement by complete accident, I didn't even realise it was this hard to get... I have yet to reach NG+
