So apparently some people have problems with that section cause of a Barrel, this guide is for you to pass this puzzle if you somehow didn't pass it for some unholy reason

What to do

See that big glowing thing right above the lasers entrance? Shoot it with your altfire, that's all you need to do, nothing else.

No Altfire?

There's one right at the side of this dead Elite

If you waste this altfire there's an ammo box that has altfire that's literaly visible from the Elite's position

That's it

You've done it, you passed the Laser Puzzle, I'm proud of you :)

I don't think it's players' fault for the confusion of this puzzle, cus never before in the game were you expected to shoot the alt fire of a weapon like that to open a puzzle, and while yeah Episode 1 does have the original "energy ball in receptacle" puzzle that was with the grav gun and map-spawned energy pellets. it's not even a bad puzzle concept just might've needed better visual cues or more playtests and less button door red herrings. Thank you for the guide tho lol

man, the metal door under the "shoot me thingie" closes as soon as I shoot at the required spot. restarting the game and loading save files doesn't work.

I shot the light above and the door does not open.

Stupid metal door glitch had me thinking that I needed to do something with those buttons that keep the two central doors open. Reload the save, and the metal plate doors are open.
