Introduction
This guide will detail some basic information about every weapon found in the original Call of Duty single and multiplayer.

Every weapon has been sorted into it's relevant class to make searching through this guide easier.

In Call of Duty weapons don't have any dependence on range. All gun damage is at any distance so this is important to keep in mind.
The Call of Duty 1 Damage Model
A damage multiplier is the number that the base damage of a weapon or attack is multiplied by to yield the actual damage.

Call of Duty features damage multipliers shared by all weapons based on the region of the enemy you hit. Below is a table with the damage multipliers for the game.

As found in the Call of Duty manual - "The Kar98k is the standard issue German infantry rifle. It's accurate and deadly at long range, but suffers from a slow rate of fire due to its bolt-action mechanism."

The Kar98k is used in multiplayer by the German Military and the British (who only have access to the sniper variant).

Lee-Enfield



From the Call of Duty manual - "First introduced in 1907 at the outbreak of the First World War, the Lee-Enfield rifle is the British Army's standard issue infantry weapon. A bolt-action rifle, it's powerful and effective at long range. It carries up to ten rounds, loaded by two 5-round stripper clips."

The Lee-Enfield in multiplayer is used by the British Army.

Springfield



As found in the Call of Duty manual - "The Springfield M1903, originally developed after the Spanish-American War, is a sniper rifle equipped with a 4x zoom scope. As a bolt-action scoped weapon, it has a slow rate of fire and chambers one round at a time."

It's worth noting that there is only the scoped variant of the Springfield in-game. There is no standard issue variant.

The Springfield in multiplayer is used by the United States Army.

Due to the armor-piercing nature of the charge, it's not an effective anti-personnel device. Each Panzerfaust is only a single shot weapon, but one shot is often enough to reduce even the largest tanks to smouldering ruins within seconds."

The Panzerfaust 60 in multiplayer is found in yellow boxes lying in predetermined points on every map.

The MG42 is a German mounted machine gun that can be found throughout the Single and Multiplayer. It doesn't overheat and has no ammunition limit so feel free to keep the trigger held down.
