Why? Just why?

They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Contains 30M stars from the gaia catalog, processed to work with SpaceEngine.
To see the full effect, it is suggested to turn off galaxies and procedural stars (in settings > filter).

This version will heavily impact perfomance and loading time, as well as impact stability.
Warning: You WILL need a significant amount of RAM to run this without crashing.
Use at your own risk.

Compatible with any other mods except GAIA catalog mods.

There is 2,000,000,000 Gaia objects so visualizing all of that would be nearly impossible in Space Engine due to obtimization reasons, just use Gaia sky instead

Great mod! Took 5 minutes to load the game and ran at 10 fps on my RTX 3070Ti but is very impressive! When I want to visualize Gaia products in 3D without melting my computer, I use Gaia Sky. I can view 100 Million stars in 3D at around 60fps. I recommend turning off procedural generated planets to improve performance in Space Engine.

To everyone having bugs or issues, it's likely due to the fact that this addon was last updated in 2020. Space Engine has been updated since then, and there has been quite a few updates between today and when this addon was last updated. That means some update must of broke the addon in some way.

FOR THOSE WONDERING IF YOU CAN RUN IT - 2020 Acer Predator Helios 300. 16 gigs RAM, NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU. RUNS FINE ONCE LOADED. I clocked it at using 10 gigs of RAM when loading, once you're in SE it uses three. It took four minutes to load.

On that note - why are all of the stars yellow supergiants on my end? I don't think every single star Gaia has discovered is the same spectral type and stage. If it's fixable please lmk.

@nebulae It runs fine on my PC on max settings, and I only have a 3050 with a ryzen 5600X, so not the greatest there is, not denying that its good, but yeah.
