Collision Resizer (ENHANCED)

Description
MASSIVE UPDATE October 31st, 2015
  • Physics now work on the client!
  • Resizing is now compatible with HL2/engine saves!
  • Resizing is now fully compatible with demo recordings!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shows up as "Prop Resizer"

This is an STool that resizes every aspect of a prop, including its collision mesh.
Resized objects can be duplicated, saved, constrained, recorded, etc.

Resizing works with:
  • Dupes
  • GMod/Lua saves
  • HL2/engine saves
  • Demo recordings

Known bugs:
  • Bad things happen when resized physics objects made out of many convex pieces collide.
  • Buoyancy doesn't work quite right.
  • Shadows don't resize correctly for certain models.
  • If the point that was at the center of the model before it was resized goes outside of the world, the model will be shaded dark.

PRECAUTIONS:
  • Use caution when dealing with props with physics objects that are made out of many convex pieces.
  • Don't make big things too big, don't make small things too small.
  • Don't force the values to go outside of their limits unless you really know what you are doing.
  • The resizing process is expensive; don't save dupes or games involving many complex resized objects if your computer has a weak processor.

If you want to resize entities with more than one physics object, try the Ragdoll Resizer STool that someone else made.

IMMEDIATELY inform me of any problems, and feel free to leave suggestions.

I just did some testing and was unable to cause a crash. I tried spawning, resizing, and duplicating dozens of props and everything worked fine. It lagged the game a little, but no crashes. If you make things WAY too big or WAY too small, or try to duplicate hundreds of resized props at once, then it might crash, but this is due to intrinsic limitations of the Source Engine and the gmod Lua API itself. Also, this addon does let you resize along any axis, so I'm not sure what you mean.

if there is any newer resizer tool addon out there, i'm really hoping i'd be able to resize anything on the x, y, or z axis separately instead of sizing it with all 3 axises at once

is there a better version of this that doesn't crash the game (like the previous comment said) and is compatitable with G ZEUS addon?

This addon is great. However, with great power comes great responsibility... Otherwise your game crashes right there and then.

My biggest problem with this addon specifically is how easy it is to crash the game by resizing a prop. As a poser, this has been a huge pain in the ass, because I tend to spend an hour or so into my creations, just to have everything be lost within seconds because I accidentally moved a big prop by an inch.

This has great potential, but said "potential" can cost an hour from your life and your progress wasted for nothing.

With the update to light entities, I'm really not sure if this will get the update treatment too, however this one I do highly depend on as well, now personally the addon works perfectly for me but maybe the multiple suggestions made by gwater dev Meetric right above my comment might be a nice place to start, if you do ever update this addon, that is
