Inheritable Skills
Each digimon have their own Special Skills that is replaced for other Special Skill from the new digimon when they Digievolve. Aside from the Special Skills digimons learns Inheritable Skills wich remains with your digimon until you reach the maximum of 20 and decides to replace them or not.

Inheritable Skills are learned at a specific level of some specifics digimons, some digimons learn a skill at level 20, others at level 80 and other dont even learn the specific skill you want, so if you want a skill and that skill is not in the digievolutionary line from the digimon you want, you will have to get them digievolving into other digimons first.

Unlike Inheritable Skills, Special Skills are learned from the time you digievolve the digimon. When your digimon digievolve they get ABI, so if you want to farm ABI do it after you farm skills because you will get some ABI as well.
