Introduction
I wished there were a boss guide when I played this game. There were a lot of times where I just couldn't figure how to beat a boss and had to learn these manually. Luckily, I found a useful video for the main stage here and the Ziggurat mode this and this after some hours searching the youtube out of desperation (most of it because I can't complete the normal stage, but still).

Well, I figured that it'll be a good idea to make a boss guide anyway since I found some alternatives from the guide and I think a text based guide might help some people. I also included my video of beating the bosses in Ziggurat mode so that you can see it for yourself. Feel free to check out the other videos I linked above too if you want since they play better than me.

I planned to make a video for the main stage too but I figured I can't beat the last boss as smoothly as the one in the video and I'm also too lazy to play it again so I ended up not doing it. The existing video is also good enough for reference. Feel free to ask me if you need help with it though.
First Things First
You might notice that I give a recommended weapon type on each fight. If you're not familiar with it already, you an buy the weapon from the blacksmith that you can access before each stage starts. You can gain some money before the first stage if you lure all of the guards in by slashing your swords a lot of times.

Here are the weapon types:
Standard: This is the one that you used at the start. There is no character code in it so I just referred it as standard weapon.
R: Stands for range. It has long reach, balanced damage.
S: Stands for split. It has split reach (it can hit enemies above and below you), low damage.
B: Stands for bastard (I'd rather associate it with "big" to make it easier to remember, tbh). It has short reach, high damage.

You can change weapons by pressing enter, then choose the appropriate weapon by using left and right arrow. Note that you will lose these weapons if you wear it when you lose a life so make sure to change your weapon to the standard one when you only have 1 health left.

Anyway, the video somehow doesn't record whenever I pressed enter to change weapons but you should notice that there's a slight delay in the video when I did. You can check the sword's slashing color or the weapon on the top left corner to see which weapon I used.

Here is the playlist.
Main Bosses + Minibosses
- Stage 1 Miniboss
Recommended weapon type: B

Charge your B weapon and use it on the boss' head. Just spam it with more attacks afterwards. You also can kill him with standard weapon if you don't have it, although it'll take longer.

https://youtu.be/44dnJPdN5Rw
- Necromancer
Recommended weapon type: B or S (see below)

If you want to beat the Necromancer:
Stay away from the puppet and hit the Necromancer whenever you see it. You can use B weapon to make it faster if you want although you can also do it with the standard weapon.

https://youtu.be/9xsKK5i6PQA
If you want to beat the puppet:
Use the S weapon while jumping on the puppet. Don't double jump since you'll just get electrocuted and make sure to gain some distance with the puppet. Use double jump to the far side of the puppet whenever it uses fire attack. You just need to spam attack on the Necromancer after the puppet dies.

- Stage 2 Miniboss - Heavy Type Spike Walker
Recommended weapon type: S

Just keep on spamming S weapon right above it.

https://youtu.be/IX2w1hPgIYs
- Gorgon / Euryale
Recommended weapon type: R

This boss has three attacks: stone eye attack, claw attack, and fireball attack. You can see that the boss' eye is glowing and hear a long sound whenever she uses stone eye attack. Make sure to not face the boss when she does this. As for the claw attack, there will be a sharp sound (kinda like "ding!") before she slashed. Double jump to her direction to avoid it. The fireball attack is initiated when the boss' hands are raised. You just need to jump once to avoid it.

After her HP is reduced to half, she'll start throwing 3 fireballs in a succession and cover more distance with her claw attack. You can still do the same tactic as the previous one for the claw attack and stone eye attack. The fireballs, however, are a bit tricky. You need to time your double jump to get as much air time as possible and try to land right in front of the Gorgon to completely avoid it.

You can attack her whenever you see the opportunity, but don't rush it. You'll kill her eventually. I suggest you to use R weapon for this boss.

- Stage 3 Miniboss - Heavy Type Ramman
Recommended weapon type: S

Spam S weapon. It'll use electric attack 3 times and launch a rocket attack. Make sure you don't stand below it when it does the electric attack and walk in a straight line to avoid the rocket attack. If you want to pass through the boss, make sure that you do it right after it does the electric attack.

- Dryad / Alruna
Recommended weapon type: R

This is the easiest boss for me. You just need to use R weapon, stand in the middle, and press down while spamming the attack button left and right. The boss will jump and charge to the ground after she moved 1 time after he the second egg pops. Make sure you position yourself close to her to avoid getting hit.

Green spikes will start coming from the ground afterwards. The boss will jump out after the fifth green spike comes out. Stand in the middle to avoid it. The boss will repeat her attack pattern from the beginning.

After her HP is reduced to half, she'll alternate his jump so make sure that you hit the egg that she left when it pops. She'll also do another attack when she moves to the ground. She'll jump out from the middle and do a diagonal attack after the second spike comes out so avoid doing double jump to dodge the second spike and position yourself to the place where she usually places her eggs.

She'll jump out from the ground after 2 more spike attacks so make sure to position yourself to avoid her attack when that happens.

- Insect / Kazazak
Recommended weapon type: S

You need S weapon for this boss. The boss will do a cross attack in the middle screen. You can either spam your S weapon or charge it (I prefer the second option). It'll move to the lower screen afterwards and launch another cross attack. Time your attack so that your charged S weapon hit it and jump afterwards while spamming your attack. Kneel (down button) after you reach the ground since it'll pass the screen.

The boss will be invicible at this point and it'll move from where it left to the other side of the map at a random height. Make sure you kneel or jump whenever necessary to avoid it. It'll show himself at the upper screen later on and will charge towards you. I find it to be easier to just go to the opposite of where it shows up and do a double jump when it charges. The boss will repeat this pattern until it dies. It'll move faster after its HP is reduced to half though, so make sure to match its speed.

Optional Bosses
- Necromancer #2 Fight
How to unlock: Spare Necromancer and Kazazak. Ask for an audience with Ishtar and hit Shiah.
Recommended weapon type: S or B (see below)

It's actually the same as the first fight.

If you want to beat the puppet:
Position the Necromancer to the far left or right, keep your distance with the puppet, and spam it with S attack.

https://youtu.be/O--Sry18Vpk
If you want to beat the Necromancer:
Keep some distance with the puppet and spam the Necromancer with B attack. Watch out for the nasty fireballs tho since it's somehow hard to dodge in this place.

- Necromancer with Merged Kazazak and Alpha
How to unlock: Spare Necromancer and kill Kazazak. Ask for an audience with Ishtar and hit Shiah.
Recommended weapon type: S or B (see below)

If you want to beat the creature:
Spam S weapon and keep distance with the creature.

https://youtu.be/-AG9VqYf7R8
If you want to beat the Necromancer:
Spam B weapon on the Necromancer. Make sure to position yourself diagonally and a bit closer to the creature so that you won't get hit by its lightning attack and can double jump whenever it throws out some fireballs. Both of its hands will have fire on it when that happens. Just time your double jump to avoid it and make sure to not touch the creature and Necromancer.

ps: I know, I'm screwed up real bad when I killed Necromancer in the video. I lost my focus since someone was talking to me and I'm too lazy to redo the recording.
- Kazazak #2 Fight
How to unlock: Spare Kazazak. Ask for an audience with Ishtar and hit Shiah.
Recommended weapon type: B

To be honest, I don't find any other way to beat it except to spam it with B attack. You can't land on anywhere so it's kinda hard to dodge its attack. It'll do a cross attack whenever it's on the same height as you and move to the other side to do another cross attack, so jump to dodge one of them.

It'll charge at you whenever it's on a different height from you so slash it with your B attack a few times and run to the other side whenever it's about to charge, hoping that it'll miss. Anyway, good luck!

- Death Dampener Machine
How to unlock: Kill one of the bosses after losing a life. Ask for an audience with Ishtar and hit Shiah.
Recommended weapon type: any weapon except S (charged)

The boss will shoot a homing light attack that will change its direction 4x. Keep on moving to make sure you don't get hit when they're about to move. The boss will fire red fireballs afterwards. Just walk in one direction from the far left or right to dodge it.

It'll shoot some bullets afterwards. Time your double jump so that you won't get hit. The boss will open its center part a few moments later. You can damage the boss by hitting the red part with a charged attack. Don't get too close though because it will use a laser beam attack in the middle, then to the other screen. Jump to the middle after the first beam attack landed and keep on hitting the boss until it repeat its attack.

https://youtu.be/3wWSUd21rv4

If you noticed, I screwed up at the first part of the video.
- Reaper / Messor
How to unlock: Kill all of the main bosses without losing a life. Note that the game will still count that you're not losing a life when you die as long as your life count is 9+. Ask for an audience with Ishtar and hit Shiah.
Recommended weapon type: B

Head to the leftmost or rightmost corner of the map and keep on slashing the boss with B weapon. Try to double jump to avoid the boss' charge when he's about to move to your position. You might want to press down to make it easier to attack.

Make to you position yourself on the leftmost or rightmost corner and kneel (down button) when the boss disappear to avoid the spin attack. If you only have one B attack like me, just change your weapon to the standard one when you only have 1 HP left.

Afterword
It took so long to upload these videos. I originally wanted to put all of them in one video but I don't seem to have any editing software installed and youtube doesn't have a feature to edit the uploaded video (I thought they had it before?)

Anyway, I hope the guide and video helped. If it isn't, try to get Gorgon's Blood and everything should be easier after that. Have fun with the game!

Steam's withheld my account for way longer than it should when I tried a password reset, but I'd like to thank you for the guide - I managed to finally look at some new discussion on the game about a couple weeks back (things are crazy with Covid). I'm pretty humbled people are still playing it.
Thank you for the videos and feedback!
