Hello all, welcome to my La-Mulana One Finger, No Hit challenge where I defeat all 9 Guardians in order starting with Amphisbaena in the La-Mulana PC Remake on hard mode without taking damage or using sub-weapons. Here are the rules:
- Play in Hard Mode (Activated by reading the forbidden tablet in Graveyard of Giants)
- Do not use sub-weapons (Exceptions: Ankh Jewels, Shields)
- Do not take damage
- Do not use fairies
- Begin recording at a save point

- All primary weapons, software, treasures, and useable items (Pochette Key, Lamp of Time) are permitted.

Amphisbaena is an underwhelming start to this challenge. To make this look vaguely impressive I decided to forgo extra gear found outside the Gate of Guidance and fight them as early as possible. Amphisbaena has 48HP on hard mode, requiring 24 hits from the stock whip to defeat. As the fight progresses Amphisbaena will attack more quickly, so the safest option is to focus on attacking one head for most of the fight. Do your best to read what direction the fire will move and dodge left and right, taking opportunities to get hits where possible. This fight took the least number of attempts of any guardian, as expected by just about everybody. Next up in the La-Mulana One Finger, No Hit challenge is Sakit, who provides a difficulty much more befitting of this challenge.
