Level 30 TVHM and level 50 UVHM save files + installation guide
By Renfrew
Since the addition of the Commander Lilith DLC, players have been given the ability to level up a character straight up to 30. However, some (myself included) are annoyed that they can't immediately start TVHM and have to kill The Warrior, as well as being given randomised gear, which can result in getting awful gear more often than not. More importantly, the one thing which, agree to disagree, majority of us wanted wasn't given, and that is New level 50 UVHM characters!

I have put together some save files that solve the aforementioned issues, to enhance player experience.

Cool Story, Bro.
These aren't hacked/cheated save files, these are save files that has been modified to suit a specific purpose. If you don't like this aspect, then don't use it.

This is not a mod.
In other words you will have to manually copy and paste save files each time you want to start a new character with the features described. (If someone with modding experience does know how to do this by modifying the original Commander Lilith features, let me know!)
Level 30 TVHM save file features
  • Character will have a playtime of 00:00:00:00 and will receive the Collector's Edition Pack bonuses if you own it (the Gearbox weapons will be level 1 sadly, but at least you still get the customisation and the fireworks grenade). You don't get the echo recording that each character typically starts with on Normal Mode.
  • All Badass challenges will be at 0
  • Map is covered
  • Normal Mode completed (this includes: DLC, Headhunters, side missions)
  • Some weapons and gear
  • Black market upgrades at level 2 (EXCEPT backpack - basically backpack cannot be modified in gibbed, it's stored in a strange way that it has to be modified by buying it from Earl, so you get some extra eridium)
  • $250,000
  • 24 Eridium
Level 50 UVHM save file features
  • Character will have a playtime of 00:00:00:00 and will receive the Collector's Edition Pack bonuses if you own it (the Gearbox weapons will be level 1 sadly, but at least you still get the customisation and the fireworks grenade). You don't get the echo recording that each character typically starts with on Normal Mode.
  • All Badass challenges will be at 0
  • All map locations visited
  • Normal Mode and TVHM completed (this includes: DLC, Headhunters, side missions)
  • Some weapons and gear
  • Black market upgrades are at max level (EXCEPT backpack - basically backpack cannot be modified in gibbed, it's stored in a strange way that it has to be modified by buying it from Earl, so you get some extra Eridium)
  • $500,000
  • 500 Eridium
Guns and Gear
For all save files:
  • Purple-rarity non-elemental Vladof Assault Rifle - based on the fact that you would receive a Vladof assault rifle w/Gearbox skin
  • Purple-rarity non-elemental Hyperion SMG - based on the fact that you would receive a Hyperion SMG w/Gearbox skin
  • Purple-rarity Jakobs Sniper - based on the fact that you would receive a Jakobs Sniper w/Gearbox skin
  • Law pistol - “melee” weapon (still decent ranged weapon)
  • Explosive Roaster - Decent rocket launcher
  • Order shield - optimised for max Roid damage (for those of you who love melee)
  • Purple-rarity Adaptive shield - optimised for highest elemental resistance
  • Purple-rarity Turtle shield - optimised for highest capacity + explosive resistance
  • Purple-rarity proficiency relic - Bone of the ancients is far superior, but this helps as starting gear
  • Purple-rarity vitality relic (For those of you who are like me and love playing Krieg or want to HP tank)

Exclusive to Level 30 save files:
  • Green-rarity Sentry Engineer Class Mod
  • Green-rarity Tenacious Roboteer Class Mod
  • Green-rarity Rage Sickle Class Mod
  • Green-rarity Chrono Binder Class Mod
  • Green-rarity Contemptible Spy Class Mod
  • Green-rarity Two Gun Berserker Class Mod

Exclusive to Level 50 save files:
  • Slag element Bone Shredder - Basically a slagga with higher ammo consumption and lower slag chance
  • Deadly Bloom shield, with parts that give highest nova damage - Good enough as a starter item
  • 6 Slayer of Terramorphous Class Mods - one for each class (Hardly the best class mod in the game but versatile enough).
  • Purple-rarity Scream Sickle Class Mod - For melee Krieg players
  • Purple-rarity Lethal Ninja Class Mod - For melee Zer0 players
  • Explosive Kiss of Death
  • Deputy's Badge
  • Moxxi's Endowment - if you prefer levelling up quickly, especially since the grind from 50 to 80 is tedious.
  • Explosive Elemental relic - EXPLOSIONS?
Guns and Gear summary, TL;DR
Nothing overpowered, but more importantly no DLC gear (apart from Gaige and Krieg specific class mods obviously), so everything is accessible to EVERYONE.

If you want different starting gear, then use gibbed to modify to your heart's desire. There are plenty of tutorials on how to use gibbed on YouTube.

How to install saves
First things first MAKE A BACKUP, if anything happens to your current saves due to any mistakes you make, that is on you.

For PC users put the save files here:
Documents/My Games/Borderlands 2/[SteamID64 number]/Saves

For Mac users put the save files here:
Library > Application Support > Borderlands 2 > Willowgame > Savedata > [SteamID64 number]
(I am not a Mac user if the path I have given is incorrect please let me know and I will correct it.)

The SteamID64 number is a number that is unique to your Steam Account. If there is only one folder in Borderlands 2, then that’s what you are looking for. If you are sharing a PC, and multiple Steam accounts on that PC have save files, then there will be more than one folder. If you are not sure which is yours, your SteamID64 number can be found here: https://steamidfinder.com/ .

Note: You will have to rename the save files to match the format SaveXXXX, so for example if you have Save0001 up to Save0006, you should rename the next save file Save0007, then Save0008, etc. up to a maximum of Save9999.

Steam cloud sync issue/Save files disappearing
Sometimes you might experience Steam Cloud overwriting any modifications made after you launch the game, if you experience this issue, then keep the game launched while you make modifications, then restart it when you are done.

The files work perfectly, thanks so much! I had a craving to do a solo TVHM/UVHM rerun of the game but the thought of regrinding through regular mode, even speedrunning the main story only, was just not appealing.

i don't care about the achievement so is all good this save is really helpful your way of thinking about the map was right, and my ps3 died in 2019 so no way i can get my save :meaty:

I understand. The thing with that is I rationalised that if someone is playing on Level 50 UVHM they already know enough about the game to want the maps uncovered. It would take too long as well to make an individual save file for each tweak, so I think users can just download gibbed and make the tweaks before starting.

FYI you can import PS3 saves to PC if you want them.

Fantastic! Works a charm thus far, and really makes the slog through multiple playthroughs on multiple characters far more bearable! Thank you plenty for providing these saves mate :)
