Hey Man, thanks for the heads up. I wrote this last year right after Alpha V3 went live. I'm sure the games changed a lot in the last 12 months, and most of this is probably not true any more. If you want to update it, let me know and I can figure out a way to make you co-author.
The eating of humans makes people unhappy, which is probably why you are burning through so much beer.
Looking at your picture of the fish/trapper setup tells me everything you are doing wrong. I can support 500+ population with 4 fisheries and 1 trapper, 2 deep divers, 2 greenhouses, 2 mills, and 2 bakeries. You are creating a ridiculous amount of mass by building so much. That makes your city a bloated mess that is hard to move.
