I think you miss one item.
Where is the Ritual Skull item?
You are correct for Mistress Pride. You can not gain any more spells after picking it up.
However, I believe this event only can fire on the final level, which usually means your deck is effectively complete and can do without any more cards. Hence my default is actually Mistress Pride.
I have not checked yet, but I do believe the Overflowing Staff procs with the Mistress' Pride ability that prevents you from picking up more cards.
It sounds like all 3 of the "Pride" artifacts are terrible! The best thing is probably to take Conqueror's Pride so you don't stagnate. If you have The Overflowing Staff then both the other "Pride" artifacts are useless... or am I missing something?
The merchant is being attacked by two werewolves. If you aid her and win, you get an item that grants you "Mistress" every 8 turns. I can't remember exactly what it was called, but it was like "Ice Flower" or something.
If you choose not to help her, the merchant will not appear for the rest of the game.
When you have the key and get the random event involving the goblin that is locked up, you can open the cage to get the artifact.
The Worker's Glove gives you the following: "At the start of each combat, gain 3 morale"
