Acquiring Defence Alliance 2 for Killing Floor

After careful thought about Li Deatus's guide becoming obsolete,

I decided to provide an easier way to acquire the mod. I located files in an older hard drive, that had Defence Alliance 2 mod for Killing Floor, and combined them with the files to revert Killing Floor version 1065 to Killing Floor version 1058.
After putting the files into a folder, I compressed the folder into the Zip file format and loaded the zip file onto Google Drive for easy access and quick download.

Installation

After acquiring the zip file, unzip the file. There will be a folder I named DA2forKF.
In the folder there will be a set of folders which need to be copied to the Killing Floor game folder, an internet short cut (for DA2), and a readme file (containing installation instructions).

Warning!
Using these files will revert Killing Floor, KF, to version 1058 from 1065.
Reverting to KFv1058 is necessary to run Defence Alliance 2, DA2,
for KF. DA2 does not run correctly with KFv1065.

So, I recommend the following installation instructions. Please read them.
Rename the current KF game folder to something else.
Reinstall KF.
Copy and paste the folders of this download to the KF game folder. Copy the internet shortcut to the desktop.

Playing

To play DA2, open the DA2 internet shortcut.
The game should start, with the menus working correctly.

To play KFv1065 again, rename KFv1058 folder to something else.
Then rename the KFv1065 folder to KillingFloor. And start Killing Floor the usual way.

Conclusion

Sorry, the stats and achievements still don't work at this time.

You can play KF still. It's just a matter of folder name changing and having an additional copy of KF in the Steam game folder. That way you won't have to revert back to KFv1065 from KFv1058 everytime. I put a Readme file in the download to describe how.

The download has the internet shortcut. It's called "Killing Floor Mod Defence Alliance 2". Just copy and paste the shortcut to your desktop.

You have to revert to Killing Floor version 1058 first. Then install Defence Alliance 2 for Killing Floor. Stats don't work though.
