This short guide was created to help you avoid replaying levels and getting all the achievements as fast as possible.

You would need 2 playthroughs to get access to all the levels and earn all the achievements.
Completion time should take around 3 hours, depending on your skill level.


Some tips/info:

• You can grind souls. Those are your continues, so if you are having trouble beating some levels or bosses keep collecting loose souls.
  
• The way you do it is reach a room with a lost soul, collect it and then lose all your lives. restart the area and repeat the process until you have all the souls you need.
  
• If you wish to continue and consume one soul pick spin the wheel, and you will continue at the exact place you died in. The left exit restarts the entire stage.
  
• The levels in the game have a random element, and each time you start the same level it will have some different rooms.
  
• The game saves at a start of each room, so you can safely quit at any moment and continue right where you left off.

Start the game in Arcade Easy mode to have an easy time beating all levels.
You start in the Dungeon.

Keep playing through the level until you reach a loose soul
Loose soul rooms are impossible to miss and are always located inside chests with an arrow above them. Each unique soul you release unlocks an achievement.



Try to get the loose souls. If you happen to hit the door that leads to the next area quickly press ESC twice to exit the room, and click continue. This way you will have unlimited chances to get the souls you need.
Once you are done collecting the souls, lose all your lives on purpose and restart the level. (Make sure to click RETRY AREA, and not Spin WHEEL)

Note: Due to the random nature of the game, you may encounter the same soul you already found before. so just keep restarting by losing all lives until you reach a room you haven't seen before with new souls

Now reach the souls room again to get new ones until you get all 4/4 souls in the dungeon.


Now keep playing through the level, and beat the boss.

Defeat the dungeon boss!


Go to the exit of the level to start Sewers.
Once you've reached the loose souls room repeat the same process of getting and souls and restarting the level by losing lives on purpose until you get 4/4 souls and continue killing the boss.

Defeat the S**tway boss!


Keep playing through the levels using the same strategy to get loose souls, while always going to the Exit door after defeating each boss.


A scary lady tried to kill us!
Defeat the Monestary boss!


A Giant plant tried to eat Bob!
Defeat the Aquaduct boss!


We defeated a giant hand, really!
Defeat the Halls boss!


I defeated myself, I think?
Defeat the Arena boss!


Once you have reached the Gallery level, make sure you have at least 4 souls before you finish the level. This is important as we need 4 souls to reach the final boss, and getting a few extra souls will be useful as continues as we have to deal with 2 bosses in the final level. there is no souls to grind in the Unknown level.

At this point advanced users can back up their saves and later pick the Church exit after completing the next area. if you want to save some additional time without replaying. located at steamapps\common\Death's Hangover\data\save.

Once you have finished the gallery level, you will reach a huge gate.
Insert 4 souls into the gate to reach the Unknown level.


This level goes in loops. To break the loop destroy the block that seems to move a bit.
Inside you should find a key. Once you get the key, continue playing through the level and you will reach the final two bosses.



Something weird is going on!
Defeat the Chambers boss!

Start a new game again.
Play through the dungeon level, and make sure to grab the key when you reach the 2nd room.
Simply destroy the block that is moving a bit to get it.
If you happen to hit the exit room and about to reach the next room, simply hit ESC twice and continue to get another try.

Once you're done killing the boss go to the Secret exit on the right instead of the Normal exit.



This leads to the Catacombs.
In here there are 4 loose souls to find. So repeat the same method as we used in our first playthrough to get them and kill the boss.

Once you reach the Monestery there is another key to find that leads to a secret level.
There seems to be two variation of the room with the key.
So simply look for a moving block and destroy it.

After you kill the boss, enter the Secret exit once again and not the normal one.


We should reach the Furnace level, get all 4/4 souls in this location, and kill the boss.

Human centipedes do exist, apparently!

In the Halls level there is one final key to find, it will be inside a slightly moving statue.



Once you get the key, kill the boss at the end of the level and reach the Secretexit one again.



You should reach the Armory level.
Repeat the process of getting all souls 3/3, defeating the boss and continuing to the exit.

Defeat the Armoury boss!


After you finish the Gallery level, don't use the huge gate.
Instead go to the normal exit on the left, to reach the Church. In here we only have 1 soul to find. So get it and defeat the boss to get our final achievement.
