"Ii Naomasa was the daimyo of the Ii Clan during Sengoku Jidai in Japan, which was a retainer clan in allegiance to the Tokugawa. He was known as one of the Four Guardians of the Tokugawa, and is regarded as one of Tokugawa Ieyasu's best generals. He would be most iconically known for his blood red armor that his clan wore, in order to strike fear into the enemy forces, giving them the nickname "Red Devils". In the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, Naomasa was struck by a stray bullet that would later contribute to his death in 1602, a year before the Tokugawa Shogunate was established.
